Eating healthfully is very important to me, and should be to everyone. I eat fresh fruits and vegetables daily and take many supplements and vitamins daily. I watch the Dr. Oz Show and believe everything he tells me about health and nutrition. He is a cardiologist and must have a huge staff of health professionals assisting him in answering all the questions he does every day on the show. Thank goodness, Direct tv

Doesn’t a meditation chair sound great?? Maybe it’s because I’m already so relaxed tonight.

We had a great day. We took a field trip up to a nearby zoo today, with acouple of other families. One family we don’t have a lot in common with…All boys, much younger than my girls, church goers, etc. The other family however is a better fit. Anyway, the new friends, and time spent with others was really great!

This is where I went to buy life insurance. Nice start to this entry, right? Nah, actually I couldn’t think of anything more profound to say.

I’m tired tonight….or maybe I can’t think because the house is quiet…too quiet. *LOL* My girls are gone for the night, having a great time with friends. So I’m having a quiet night at home, doing a bit of work, and thinking over the day.

Life should not be about trophy cups! The sports, dance, and other activities that the girls participate in, they do not participate for the trophies or medals, they participate because that’s what they love to do.

I think too much of society today is focused on trophies, medals, and certificates. What happened to doing just because it’s what you like. Why does there have to be so much emphasis on winning??

I was thinking the other day and realized that it has been about four or five years since I actually went to a party that was for adults and not just a kids’ party that adults were also at. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t realized that! Has time really gotten away from me like that? Apparently! So I thought that it would be fun for me to throw a St. Patrick’s Day party for adults. That is, no kids are allowed so we can concentrate on having fun and catching up with other people our own age.

I was looking for some fare that I knew I could trust adults to eat, more than just your typical old cupcakes and cookies, even though those are good most of the time. One thing that i saw when I was looking through recipe sites was some advice on how to get free from debt and I bookmarked it to look at later. I could really use some financial advice and it’s definitely going to be put to some good use, especially with my credit card balances.

For my adult St. Patty’s Day party I have all kinds of great food lined up, including some cupcakes made with Guinness beer! I know they’ll be a hit!

I’ve discovered a lot of items for my homeschool wish list that I never expected. However welding gloves haven’t made the cut yet. *LOL* Yes, I say “yet”, because who knows what the girls will become interested in….

I am happy to say that while I didn’t spend less on curriculum this year, I was able to get several things I didn’t expect to get. Like science experiment kits to go along with our science curriculum!! It’s going to be a great new year!!!!

The bbq grills they have nowadays are pretty incredible, if you want to pay for the features. I don’t however. I have the cheapest Walmart had to offer, and it suits my purposes, especially since I rarely use it. Although I do have plans to use it a bit more often this summer, but then plans don’t always come to be.

Welcome to my life! I love it, though most wouldn’t!!!

I don’t even know what merchant cash advance is. From what I know of cash advances, you’re usually better off avoiding them if possible.

Anyway, I really don’t have much to say on the subject today, as I’m at the end of my work schedule, and I’m anxious to move on to other things. Looks like I need to get another loaf of bread in the works, and think about getting dinner going as well.

Sometimes I feel like our neighbors are our little home security family. Everyone is so nosy, that no one would ever be able to get away with crime here. This would probably bother most people, but I know that everyone means well, and that it helps us stay safe. Over the years my husband and I have gotten used to their meddling, and just ignore them. There is Mrs. Peters next door, who looks out her living room window all day to see who is coming and going. She always knows when we have guests over, and likes to hear all about it the next day. She’ll sometimes even come over and knock on the door, and ask me point blank why I had people over. Then there is Mr. Gray across the street. He is retired and is always outside gardening and walking his dog. He always lets us know the good gossip around the neighborhood since he is so friendly with everyone. We may eventually decide to get a real home alarm system, but we feel like our two nosy neighbors are enough of a theft deterrent. Who would be stupid enough to go up against those two busy bodies?

At some point I’d like the girls to be able to get guitar lessons, or piano lessons, or whatever it is that they want. Last I heard I think Des actually wants to learn to play the flute, and I hope that I can make that happen for her.

More importantly for me, is for them to be able to continue with their sports. The Rec Center is great, but they stop offering sports for middle and high schoolers, so I have to find a way for the girls to be allowed to participate in the school sports. I’m hoping that our nearby town will allow it, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see for sure.
