I’m the Welcomer
Guest post of the week by Deangelo Spencer
Don’t ask me how it happened but I have become the unofficial welcome wagon for our neighborhood. I love it here and have enjoyed making new friends with everyone as families move in and out. Somehow people started suggesting that new folks come to me to get referrals for doctors, dentists, hairdressers, nail places, etc. I really don’t mind so long as no one holds me responsible if they don’t like my suggestions. To make things easier for myself and the new folks, I’ve made a list of my preferences and made copies for the new families. I even suggested they look at www.home-alarm-systems.COM to get security systems for their new homes. I wish some of these vendors/professionals would give me commissions for my referrals but I’m just happy knowing the new folks don’t have to stress too much to find good people. I actually thought of starting a business to refer people (sort of like Angie’s List) but I’m not sure I want to be held responsible if something goes wrong. For the time being, I’ll just be satisfied with the new friends I’m making.

I wasn’t sure that I was going to be able to do much work this morning, as I’ve been having internet problems for weeks.
I originally thought the spring storms in the area was the cause. Like the tornado that hit Joplin only a few weeks ago, but as the problems continue I wonder if perhaps it is the heat. But then wouldn’t it seem reasonable that at night, or the cooler days that the internet would work properly, which I assure you, isn’t the case. I do wish they would get their issues sorted out. I don’t like having internet problems!!!

I know how expensive it is to have a car towed. I don’t think I want to think about how expensive rv towing would be. Not to mention I’m sure you would have to have a special tow truck to do it, which at least in my part of the country would be rare. We don’t have an abundance of tow services here, let alone specialty ones for rv’s or semi’s.

I’m not much of a financial guru. I know nothing of annuities, investing, or anything like that. I do however believe that I have some money sense. I make sure the bills are paid, and then I can decide what to do with whatever money is left. I believe I make smart financial decisions by not having credit cards, and by trying to pay off my student loan early, and also by making sure, whenever possible that the bills are paid on time, to avoid the late fees. I don’t see that money sense is really all that hard, and yet I see so many people that don’t seem to have any at all.

Don’t you find it a bit odd, or perhaps suprising when you run across advertisements in different languages? Oh I hold no malice for those that do speak different languages, I guess I just fall into the all to common mind trap of thinking only of my language. Today I ran across appareils photo numériques, and had to do a double take to realize that it wasn’t English. *LOL* Just kind of a funny occurance in my day.

It seems that every company has the safest diet pills that work, but I do wonder how true that really is. Of course every company, no matter the product wants to let on that they are the one with the best. You and I both know that it isn’t always the case. And then factor in that what is best for one person, isn’t always the best for another person. Please do your research carefully, and bear these things in mind.

I can see where atv power steering would come in handy, but then I thought all atv’s had power steering. I don’t know much about them at all really. I’ve never owned one, and have only ridden one once or twice in my life. They are fun, I’ll admit that, and I suppose I wouldn’t mind owning one, for the fun of them, but there are so many other things on our need or want lists that an atv doesn’t even rate.
