Seems like several posts lately have been titled that, but I thought you all might like to know the latest news.
I FINALLY got my car back. It only took them 2 weeks and 2 days, and yes, that “only” was said quite sarcastically. There really wasn’t anything I could do except to wait, and that’s what I did. I am sorry that the girls missed 2 weeks of school, and that Meg missed her reading state assessments, but I ask you, my dear readers, what was I supposed to do?
I guess that’s what I get for having the girls attend an out-of-district school.

All the different types of covers crack me up at times. You have spa covers, car covers, seat covers, couch covers, bike covers, grill covers, and the list goes on and on.
I often wonder what the point in buying a new couch is, if you are just going to cover it up…but then of course I’ve never bought a new couch either. *LOL*

I wouldn’t be at all suprised to find that I have dark circles under eyes this morning. I don’t know whether I do or not, as I haven’t even bothered to look in a mirror yet today. I feel almost as if I’ve been without sleep for days, when in fact I haven’t. Granted I had trouble sleeping night before last, but last night was a decent night.

Another great thing you can do is look up prices, and read reviews on different products. Like the cleansonix reviews might help you determine if it’s the right product for you. I have done a lot of review reading over the past few months, for many different things, like before I bought my camera. I also read some reviews and did some comparison pricing when it came time to buy our new computer, flash drives, and even the shock collar that I bought for Alex.

I had no idea what ordinateurs portables were, until I did a quick lookup online this morning. That’s the great thing about the internet, you can find out about anything. It has really come in handy when none of us knows what a simile is, or something else to do with the girls’ schoolwork.
It seems that kids are having to learn things earlier and earlier. I remember when I was a kid long division wasn’t until 5th or 6th grade, and now it’s 4th grade, with 3rd graders learning division. I don’t agree with it really, I mean it seems too much information is pushed onto kids without the ability to understand how to do it.

I was going to do a story that contained the use of a utility knife, but I just don’t have the brain function this morning to do a story.
I probably shouldn’t even be trying to do work this morning. My heart isn’t really in it, and neither is my head. I’m tired, and this morning was a rough one. The girls had to go back to school this morning, and normally they are excited about it, but they were dreading it today, as I will be for the next 41 days.

Well as I’ve mentioned in other posts, my car is out of order until this coming Friday, if everything goes right. That doesn’t really bother me so much, except that means I have no transportation. I can pretty much live without a car for a week, except for not having any way to get the girls to school. State assessments start next week for Megan, so having her miss this week is horrible, but I just don’t know what to do!!
I’ve sent messages to both of the teachers in hopes that they might come pick up the girls or will have another idea. I talked to the school on Thursday and Friday, and let them know what was going on, but they didn’t have any suggestions. I’m stuck for the moment, but I haven’t lost hope yet.

I came across the word macanudo the other day. I had no idea what that word meant, or what it was. So I did some researching and found out that macanudos are cigars, or cigarillos.
I’m teaching the girls to look up words they don’t know. Researching the meaning, find out what things are. I think it’s good for them, and will give them a good base for schoolwork as they get into the higher, more intense grades.

Through my life I had been fortunate to never have a broken bone, up until a couple of years ago when I broke my wrist in a car accident. While I was in the doctor’s office getting my cast I noticed one of those aircast boots. Those are pretty cool. It’s pretty amazing to me what new inventions that people, and companies come up with.
