I am forever thankful that my Dad has never been in any serious truck accidents. He’s never needed a Texas Truck accident lawyer, or any other type of accident lawyer for that matter. I worry about him being on the road…I wish he could retire, or at least find a good paying job here at home, but that doesn’t seem to be possible at this point.
Okay, I hadn’t a clue what spring plungers were, so I went to the website to take a look. Truth be told, I still haven’t a clue what they are! *LOL* I guess you have to know what it is you are looking for, and looking at in order to know if you need one or not.
As for me, well they are just beyond me at this point.
With all the proms and graduations going on lately you can’t help but notice the formal wear in every window shop. I’ve always liked the tuxedo vest, and of course I love looking at the dresses!!
Thankfully I have awhile before I have to start thinking about proms and graduations, but it’s fun to window shop with the girls.
We had Meg’s birthday party on Saturday. It was a wonderful day!!! It’s always special to be able to see Mom, and my brothers and sisters, but doubly special that they take the time and make the effort to come to such things like birthday parties.
Sonia and Mitch even got to come, which made it triplely wonderful!! Sonia is usually working, so even though I know she wants to be here, she rarely gets to come. She requested the day off, just to come spend it with the family. It was so good to see her and Mitch again. They both are truly wonderful, the way they interact with the girls! Mitch play softball with them. When we went to go see them we all went to the park and Mitch and Sonia played with the girls. It does my heart good to know that Sonia and Mitch really love the girls!!
Unfortunetly we were missing Daniel, because he had to work. He truly was missed too!! He and Sue are great with the girls too! It’s endearing to know that “Uncle Daniel” really doesn’t mind being “Uncle Daniel”…He has nieces and nephews of his own, but some people wouldn’t accept having other kids call them “uncle” or “aunt”.
My whole family is like that though, I mean it’s natural for me to call Sonia and Sue my sisters, even though they aren’t blood sisters. The same goes for my brothers and Mom…They are my true family though….the one of my heart, and that’s what counts!!
In other news, Des and her team won their first softball game of the season. It was all quite exciting. Des really didn’t get to play all that much, but she did very well when she was on the field. She’ll get her chance.
Did you know that you can purchase silver, gold or other precious metals and coins through the United States Gold Bureau. You can get it delivered or arrange for it to be stored at an independent bank or depository.
Buying gold has been recognized for hundreds of years as one of the best ways to preserve one’s wealth. Man has had an affinity for gold bullion since the time of Greeks and Romans. Much of the west was built because of the gold and silver found in those regions.
Gold has always had a magic beauty that has captured a man’s soul. Today is no different.
The United States Gold Bureau is home to a large and dedicated staff of hard asset professionals committed to helping you buy gold bullion and other precious metals.
I’m going to need more than vitamins to maintain my sanity if the girls keep pushing my buttons! Tonight it’s a big arguement about how they never get to stay up late, blah blah blah….This from the child that was up 20 minutes past her bedtime just last night, because I read an extra chapter out of the book to them, but of course they don’t think about that, they just think about tonight.
Yes, it is 8pm, yes they don’t go to bed until 9, but they are fighting about having to brush teeth, and hair. Which will take them a good 15 minutes if it’s done right, which I told them it had to be done right tonight. After that Meg will read some, Des will read some, and than I will read to them. Now tell me that won’t take 45 minutes, which means that it will be their bedtime.
It cracks me up when the girls start looking through my medical dictionary. It has all sorts of pictures in there from eczema pictures, to things like bedsores, tumors and other really nasty looking pictures.
The girls aren’t really squeemish, and neither am I, but I have to admit that some of those pictures are quite gross!!
I’ve even taken some rather nasty pictures myself. Probably the nastiest was when one of my sisters cats had an ulcer in it’s eye, and then the ulcer exploded. Before taking it to the vet, I took pictures. They turned out really nice, or really gross, depending on how you look at it.
Hmm, I have no idea what alli reviews are. If the kids weren’t driving me nuts, I might go check out the website to find out what it is I’m supposed to be talking about, but instead I will just share some other news.
We found out today that one of Megan’s friends, named Alli will be able to come to Megan’s birthday party! We are very excited as Meg really likes Alli, and Alli seems like such a nice girl. Hopefully this will lead into her being able to spend the night some time!
It’s starting out to be a quiet but nice Mother’s Day for me. Everyone is still sleeping, although I do hear Dad stirring.
The girls brought me loads of flowers last night. They are always bringing me flowers and such, which always warms my heart. They found an empty lot that has irises, some beautiful white flowers, and some sweet smelling purple flowers, so they brought me loads of them home. I have no idea what the white ones or purple ones are though.
Des also made a Mother’s Day card for me at school. It was titled “The Top 10 Reasons I Love You”. It was so sweet it brought tears to my eyes. She really put some thought into her answers, the handwriting was neat, and the coloring was wonderful.
The flowers and the card are what make being a mom so rewarding. I truly have my moments when I don’t think the girls care a lick about me, because they can be so uncooperative and difficult, but these sweet moments let me know they do care, and they do appreciate what I do for them!
In other news, Des spent Friday night at a friend’s house. She said she had a good time, but that she missed us. She must have been happy to be home, because she didn’t ask to go to the park or anything after she got home. *LOL* It’s a joy to see her growing up, even if it does make me sad at times. It was really hard to let her go and spend the night, I much prefer when her friends come over here, but I know this is all part of growing up.
When I was a kid, I was forever spending the night at my best friend’s house. She would come and stay at our house sometimes too, but most of the time I was over there. I’m not sure why really, maybe I just wanted to get away from my own family at that time, but anyway, almost every weekend we were together. I called her Mom “Mom”, I would be annoyed at her little brothers….*LOL* We were like sisters….In fact we called ourselves sisters. I still miss her!! Anyway, my whole point was that it is natural for Des to want to spend the night with her friends, and even though it’s hard for me to happily let her go, she’s growing up, and it’s the right thing to do. She needs to experience life in other ways.
Okay, well I’m off to my other blog to update. 3 down, 1 to go.
