Life

Spent part of the day in Kansas City today getting new glasses and contacts for everyone. Dad even went along and got new glasses. Des will finally be able to get contacts, and we all hope that she can wear them with no problems. The Dr. didn’t forsee any problems, so that’s a big relief to Des as she has always hated wearing glasses.

After we got home we let Chief out for awhile. Des did some training with him, and he sort of cooperated. She didn’t get to catch him like she wanted, but she did get to feed him treats and learn how to approach him. She was thrilled, and I was too.

I am yearning to be able to work with Chief again, but the horrible mud here complicates things immensely. He needs his feet worked on, though it is not critical yet. He also is in bad need of a good brushing. Plus it is our hope and prayer that we will get to saddle break him this year, but this won’t happen as long as we are living here.

Our search for a house is still seeming impossible. There just isn’t much available. We went to the bank to see if we could get financed for the Aliceville house, but as expected Dad’s credit isn’t good enough because of his name being on a bill of my sister’s that she hasn’t been making regular payments on. It makes me want to cry to know that we could have gotten the financing if it wasn’t for her bills!! I suppose that is all water under the bridge, as the only thing that would help us now is for her to refinance that bill, and get my Dad’s name off of it!!

Enough for now I think. My wrists are already hurting, I’m tired, and I have work entries to do.
