Cigars Online

January 25th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

It seems these days you can order just about anything online. Prescription drugs, appliances and other home remodeling things, clothing, shoes, office equipment…you can even order cigars online. In most cases I like online shopping, especially for books or movies, because it’s easier to find what I want. I don’t like ordering things like clothing or shoes online though, as I prefer to try things on to make sure they fit properly.

The Way It Is

January 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Family News | 1 Comment »

Recently someone asked me if I would be interested in meeting an aquaintance of his, and said something to the effect that I needed more of a life than going from the trailer to the house. I needed human/adult interaction. I didn’t take offense at what he said, and agreed that he could pass my email address on to the aquaintance of his.

A few days later I excitedly received an email, and replied. That went on for a few days, made plans to go out to lunch on the weekend, etc. The whole time I was really excited about the encounter. He even came over Saturday to try and help fix the car. After that, we went, with the girls, out to eat, and then over to see his place. It was during that day that I realized that wasn’t what I wanted. It had nothing to do with the guy, he seems like a nice enough fellow, it has to do with ME.

I am happy with my life as a single parent. I am happy keeping house for Dad, and it just being the 4 of us. I realized I didn’t want that to change, that I was happy and content with my life the way it is, so why would I set out to change it?? In answer….I’m not going to!!! My life will remain as it is….The girls, Dad, and I.

For adult/human interaction, I have my Mom, brothers and sisters that I can visit, go out with, and enjoy being with. Without the strings that companionship with others seem to bring. I am still in control of my life, of my wants, needs, bills, and etc. I like my life exactly (with the exception of needing to move) the way it is, so I’m not going to change it.

I love my life!! and on that note…it’s time for me to go pick up the girls from school, go home and see how Dad is feeling.

Wrinkle Remover Cream

January 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Something else that had gone out with the diet pills, and weight loss products was the wrinkle remover creams and other age defying products. She had decided that being 34 wasn’t so bad after all, and that she should be happy with the way she looked without trying to cover up the imperfections. Her father had always told her that she was perfect the way she was. When she was little, she had asked him “what if I get as big as a house?” He had answered her “then you would still be perfect”. Too bad it had taken her this long to really believe it.

Hydroxycut

January 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Out went all the hydroxycut and other pills. The Slim Fast drinks and other simular items. In came the membership to the nearby gym, and also a wonderful park to walk in only a few blocks away. Not to mention that she planned to do plenty of the remodelling herself, which was another great way to burn calories and stay in shape.

Weight Loss Products

She was thankful that she had thrown away all of the weight loss products and other such things before she had moved. With the move, and change in life, she realized that wasn’t the kind of life she wanted to lead. Being dependant, in a way, on all these different types of pills. That was a big part of New York though, looking your best, even at the cost of your body and health.

Phentermine Reviews

January 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

The phentermine reviews article that she had written before leaving her old job was in the process of being published. When it was, she would receive the paycheck for that, as well as what money she had in the bank should make all the repairs to the old house that she wanted. Plus she would be starting her new job next week. But she needed that money to kind of help her over the hump of the moving costs before she could spend much of it on the house. She had grand plans.

Blackheads On Nose

January 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Here at the beginning of her new life she was thankful for several things. The new/old house that she found, bought, and loved. Her new job, a clean start, and that she no longer had a problem with blackheads on nose. Okay, kind of a petty thing to be thankful for, but still, it was something she was thankful for. In truth she hadn’t had that problem in lots of years, but she still remembered how embarressed she had felt through her highschool years.

Box Cutter

January 19th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Where was the blasted box cutter when she needed one? Here in the midst of box upon box of her belongings, in her new house, in her new life. *LOL* Okay, so she sounded a bit dramatic even to herself, but that’s basically what it amounted to. She had packed her belongings, bought this house which was an old Victorian that needed quite a bit of remodeling, in a new town, a new job, a new life basically. Away from the hustle and bustle of her old life in the heart of New York.

Bachelor of Arts in Fire Service Administration

January 8th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

I didn’t even know you could get a Bachelor of arts in fire service administration, but then I’ve never really been around or known any fire fighters. I did read this book once, it was a fiction book, but it went into some detail about fire fighters and fires and such. I guess I had never realized or thought about how much evaluation and planning that went into fighting fires. I never really thought about fire fighters who had to be able to assess and plan for risks, evaluate processes and outcomes, and handle staffing and labor issues.

Never really thought about fire fighters needing to go to college in order to advance their careers. I always had the impression that fire fighting was just something you went out and did.

Travel Insurance

January 8th, 2010 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

She mentally checked off things on her list….Packed.. check, travel insurance..check, arrangements for her pets..check…hmm, what else was left that she needed to take care of? She would have to run into her home office and look at her actual list to make sure everything had been taken care of. She didn’t want to leave, and then remember something that she hadn’t taken care of. She didn’t want to be going on her first vacation in 5 years, only to discover that she had to spend most of her vacation tying up loose ends because she hadn’t checked her lists, and tied up everything before she left.
