Lonliness

April 24th, 2009 -- Posted in Family News | 2 Comments »

The lonliness has been eating away at me lately. I have my girls, and they are the center of my life, that will never change, but I want more…I want someone to share my life with. Someone to be here when I need a shoulder to cry on, or arms to wrap around me in comfort. It’s been 2 and 1/2 years since my last relationship ended, and truly I thought I was done with relationships, God knows they were the worst kind of relationships to have, but I know that it can be different. I know that not all men are like what I’ve had in my life previously…and I want to experience that kind of love again…I want to know that someone is gonna be here and love me, and care for me whether I’m being a grump today, or am in a happy mood. I want to know that I have a shoulder to lean on when the world seems to be against me.

I want the girls to experience what it is to have a real and genuine father in their life. One that will spend time with them, and love them. Someone to teach them soccer or baseball..*S* someone to take them fishing if that’s what they want to do…I know the girls’ don’t NEED that, but I know they want it very badly, and I want it for them.

It’s not for the girls alone that I want someone to share my life with…it’s something I want almost more than anything else in the world.

Blue Cross North Carolina

*sigh* I wonder if they are talking about a town, when they say Blue Cross North Carolina, or if they are talking about insurance coverage by Blue Cross in North Carolina…I don’t know…I like to imagine they are talking about a town though…up in the mountains, a quiet out-of-the-way town, where only a few people live, and work. With mountains all around, and quiet places to go and hide..

Phenphedrine Review

The phenphedrine review had taken most of her time lately, but thankfully that project was over, and she had a little time before her next project began. She planned to take full advantage of the time, by going home and doing absolutely nothing but relaxing for a whole week…*S* She was thrilled at the thought..She had spent months on that review, putting in way more than 40 hours a week on the project. Now it was time for her.

Weight Loss Pills

April 7th, 2009 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

She had never needed weight loss pills, hard work had kept her slim and trim. She had never been ashamed of her body, but comfortable with it. She wasn’t a model beauty, but then she smiled at the thought of models doing the hard work she did daily.

Well, she had enough of memories and pondering life. It was time to get to work! She had wasted away half the day in town and fiddling around the house.

Kitchen Faucets

April 7th, 2009 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Walking into the kitchen she glanced toward the kitchen faucets and remembered when she and her Dad had put the new ones in. She smiled as she thought of it. She had only been 8 or so, and he had tried so hard not to swear…of course she hadn’t been a stranger to those words, as he slipped up quite often when working. But she smiled remembering how he had tried.

Raising kids alone wasn’t easy. She had been smart enough to know that when she was young, but her Dad had never considered anything else but raising her as best as he could.

Steel Buildings

The mix of steel buildings and wooden ones clutched her heart. There was no place on earth that she loved more than this ranch. She had sweated and bled on this land, and she would do whatever she had to, to keep the place alive and going.

She had hated the year she went to college, and at the end of that year had opted to finish her college stuff at home. It had worked out well, although her Dad had been worried about her not keeping up on her studies, because she was always out working the place during the day with him, but she had stayed up at night and done her studies, and had graduated with honors.

Women’s Shoes

April 7th, 2009 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

The women’s shoes department was a mystery to her in most cases. She wasn’t that type of woman. No one had ever called her a lady. She was more comfortable in jeans, and work boots, than she was in high heals or dresses.

It was a result of being raised by a rough and tough father. Her Mother had died when she was just 4, after that, it had been just her and her Dad mostly. Oh plenty of women had tried to get their claws into her Dad, but he’d have none of it. His heart had belonged to her Mother, totally and completely.
