Finally I see a light at then end of the tunnel, maybe a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. *L* Though I must admit that I think of happy and peaceful things in connection to rainbows, and not the long and stressful job search that I have endured for months.
I have a job, it’s possible I’ll be starting this weekend, or if not then, on Monday!!! I’m so excited!! It’s not the type of job that I was looking for, but I’m not one to complain. It’s a job I can do at home, and money to pay the bills would take a lot off of my mind, so that I can concentrate on more important things….The best part is, I can set my own schedule!! The only thing required is a quiet background, because it’s phone work, so I will be doing my work while the girls sleep.
School is going well for the girls…*S*…I’m proud of them! I’ll be glad when I can order enough workbooks for the both of them, instead of supplementing with other material that I find. I know a lot of people are sucessful at homeschooling that way, but it’s just not my thing. I do want/need to spend more time reading with them, but that’s coming…*S*…Meg is still a bit slow on the reading, but I’m not pushing her. She’ll get it when she gets it….Des barely needs my help anymore…*S*…She’s gaining a real love for reading.
Well, I guess I better be off here and onto other things, especially because my WP seems to be acting a bit odd.

It had been reported to be the best diet supplement on the market, and yet with all the others she had tried, she had found no real satisfaction in using it. She had been battling the diet battle for years, since she was a teenager, and yet she had not won the battle yet. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do, or try now, but she felt she had to do something, almost anything.

The excitement when he had gotten the New York Yankees tickets had been felt for weeks. This was something he had been wanting to do for a long time, but now it seemed that he would never had a chance to use the tickets. Work was piled so high on his desk, and his was not a job where you could just walk away and leave it for another day. *sigh* He had been looking forward to this game for over a month, and yet it seemed as if it would be a passing dream.

I just love those promotions that sometimes go on when you buy airline tickets, or sometimes show tickets that include a free hotel stay. I’ve never had the opportunity to take advantage of them, but maybe someday I will. I have always wanted to do a lot of traveling, and though the years pass, and I have still not been able to travel, I still have the desire to do so. I want to travel the world! There are hundreds of places in the USA that I would like to visit, but I also want to travel to Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and many many other places!

I can’t complain too much about my cell service. The cell towers seem pretty good, I don’t get a lot of dropped calls unless I’m in certain hilly areas, but during those areas I usually don’t even bother to answer my phone. I don’t have a lot of roaming areas around here, which is good too. I love the unlimited nights and weekends, and mobile to mobile. I don’t use a lot of my monthly minutes, because usually everyone I call has their own cell phone.
I do wonder lately about calling internationally. I’ll have to check into that, just in case the desire arises to call someone overseas.

The joy that comes when you find out you are having a baby is immeasurable. You start thinking of what clothes to get, what color to paint the nursery, what them of baby bedding you would like to have, what kind of bottles you want to have, if you will be a good parent, how you will afford college, and many other things.
It’s true that many don’t cherish these moments the way that I believe they should. And I can tell you from experience that you don’t have to have a nursery or themed items that all match to be happy and to have happy children.
The most important thing is that you remember that the baby is a gift, more precious than anything else in the world!

I’m not really a numbers kind of a girl, so when someone starts talking to me about auto insurance coverages, life insurance stuff, or measurements, I tend to need someone to translate it for me. Thankfully my insurance agent is a gem, because she will sit down and go over all of this, and break it down for me. Still I dread whenever I know I’m going to be faced with a situation involving more than just simple math.

If you know me, you know that I don’t know much about the inside workings of anything mechanical. Cars, lawn mowers, weedeaters, CD players, it’s all unknown territory to me. You won’t find magazines of automotive performance parts lying around my house. Until last night, I didn’t know you were supposed to drain the gas out of your mowers and weedeaters when you put them away for the season. *shrugs* It’s just something I had never been taught.
Thankfully I have a very skilled cousin that is taking care of this stuff for me. He’s going to tune up my push mower, which hasn’t been done since I bought it new almost 4 years ago. And he’s going to check out my weedeater too, put a new spark plug in it and all that good stuff. I would be, and have been lost without him. He’s already fixed several things, and has a list of other things to fix for me. It has saved me a lot of money these past few weeks, and also a lot of stress of wonder who to take these things to, to be fixed and such.
He’s a great man!!

As you might have noticed it had been awhile since I had done my last entry. Life has been busy lately and sometimes, as much as I enjoy blogging sometimes it has to take a back-seat to other things.
School has been going well for the girls, and that has been taking up a fair amount of my time. They are both progressing fairly well, although both have their low points. We have all found many advantages to homeschooling, aside from the standard “better education” and “move at your own pace” reasons that I originally used as a basis for me to start homeschooling them. It’s also nice to not have to start school on the stroke of 8am, which most of the time we aren’t even awake at 8am. We have found so much joy and comfort, and special moments in our late nights together. Many times you will not find us doing schoolwork until afternoon or evening. We use the mornings and early afternoons for our errands, housecleaning, playing outside, and taking walks. Also many times we will do some of our schoolwork on the weekends, mostly by the girls’ choice. They will ask if they can read their schoolbooks, or work on their math, and who am I to say “no”. It’s nice that they like learning enough to want to do it in their free time!!
The weather is warming up, although you can’t tell it today. *LOL*..The grass is turning green, and some of my flowers are sprouting up nicely. I’m as anxious for Spring as the girls are!! I’ll be glad when we can go for our long walks (without freezing! *LOL*) and bike riding, and just to go outside and enjoy the day!! We are also planning on putting in a garden this year, which will be a great learning experience as well as being lots of fun!! We are just going small scale this year, as I have never done any gardening, and don’t want to get in over my head.
Well enough rambling for now I guess. I still have to go do acouple of work posts over at one of my other blogs, as well as do personal updates on both of the others. Pop over to them if you want to read more about what we have been up to lately. You can find the links on my sidebar.

Running through the store she had decided to just pick up a gift card for her niece for her birthday. I mean what did she know about 10 year old girls? Next to nothing was the answer…Everything she had seen seemed too childish for a 10 year old and she didn’t know anything about what kind of clothes a 10 year old would like. Yes, the gift card seemed to be the perfect option.
Going home for her niece’s birthday would be the first time in 3 years that she had been home. But it was time to face the music of her failed life.
