That’s All Folks

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | 1 Comment »

Well, I’ve gotten 5 out of 14 assignments done….More importantly, I got the ones done that needed to be done immediately!! I still have acouple to do before Monday, but those will have to wait for another night/day/morning…*LOL*…It is 1am here, and I am exhausted!!

We have a full day planned for tomorrow, or should I say later today, with a family picnic out at a nearby lake, and watching the fireworks that the county or whoever puts on. What’s more, it is a picnic with our other, newly reaquainted family (the girl’s father’s family). *LOL* Ange called me the other day and asked me if I planned on attending the picnic with the girls, and I said “yeah. why?” She told me that she had talked to her Mom that day, which would be the girl’s Great Grandma, and GGma had told Ange that if I didn’t plan on attending that Ange was supposed to talk me into it. *LOL*…Anyway, the girls will have fun. From what I’ve heard, the whole family is supposed to be there, and that means ALOT of people, because they have a big family!!! The best part is that the girls’ Grandma or Nana as we call her, does not have to work at all, so they will get to spend the whole day together, which is rare. Anyway, they are really excited about going, so that means I need to get to sleep, because the last time that we had plans to go to Nana’s, the girls woke me up at 6:30a to ask if it was time to go yet…*LOL*

Love and Hugs to all my friends!!!

Home Theater Chairs

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

When I hear the term “home theater chairs” I can’t help but think of the fold up, uncomfortable chairs that you find in most theaters. *LOL* I know that isn’t necessarily what they are talking about, but I just can’t help myself.

Do you ever have that problem?? You hear something, and no matter what they are actually talking about, you have your own “vision” of what you think it means…

Cat Supplies

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Have you ever noticed how expensive cats are?? I hadn’t really noticed it until lately…It seems as if I’ve had to take one or the other of my cats on a weekly basis….that is not true in reality, but it sure seems like it lately. It all started last year when my Orangie fractured his leg somehow or another….That wasn’t too expensive really, except for xrays….but than my beloved Chubby got sick. I had to take him in several times for exams, medicines, and finally…to be put down. A sad day for sure….I still miss him, and probably always will…such a loving cat, who liked nothing more than to sit with you on the couch and be petted, or to be laying on the end of the bed where the sun shines…His fur would be so warm and soft, and he would purr so loud and roll around in the sun…*S*

Here lately it’s been Mr. Fuzzy that has been to the Vet numerous times. Finally though, it seems we have his condition under control, with a change of diet that took us months to find. But every trip costs money you know.

Earlier in the year I took my Yeti into get fixed…NO MORE KITTENS!!!! *LOL* And than just this week I took in Orangie to get fixed, as he was starting to fight with my Mr Fuzzy. Fuzzy is too old to get fixed, so Orangie got volunteered…a bit unwillingly on his part I might add…He is still miffed at me for taking him…*LOL*

In any case…it’s not just the cat supplies that are expensive, but the Vet bills as well…but you know what?? I wouldn’t get rid of my cats unless it was a serious situation!!! They bring so much joy and comfort to my life!!

Faucets

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Oh man, the faucets were leaking again!!! She had already tried to fix them three different times, but they continued to leak. Well, okay, techniquely they quit leaking for about a week after she fixed them, but would always start leaking again. *sigh*….She didn’t have money to replace them, which is really what they needed, but that would have to wait.

Someday….someday……….. she always told herself……….she wouldn’t have to scrimp and save every penny. Someday she would have a decent job, so she could pay for the $40 that it would take to replace the faucets.

4th of July

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Well, it’s officially the 4th now. 12:15am, and I am exhausted….to much time stressing and worrying, along as much time spent praying. Things haven’t been going according to plan since I quit my job, and I have been stressing about it really badly. However things will ease up now. I have gotten a few more months before I need to worry about having to go back to work, in which time, with God’s help, can finish my schooling and be able to work from home.

It really killed me to have to do it this way….I have tried for so many years to stand on my own feet, not have to depend on anyone (except God), for anything….but this was the only way that I saw to be able to stay at home a little longer.

Today was a day of independence so many years ago…I am hoping that this is truly my year of independence. Independence from jobs that take me away from my girls, independence from having to count every penny, and decide whether or not I can treat my girls to a new book or whether I have to keep that money for bills. Help me Lord to make this so…It is something I have yearned for practically my whole life…Help me make this happen.

Camel Back Displays

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Yeah, I hadn’t a clue who or what Camel Back was either, but they do things like Trade Show Booths and Banner Stands.

They also sell a full line of custom printed Table Skirts. Which is really cool, because you can have your logo, full color artwork or text message printed on them. I just think that is really cool!!! I’ve seen some really awesome table skirts at different events, but had no idea how a person would be able to have one made.

And in case you are wondering…. Pipe and Drape is used to make the booths used at trade shows. They give exhibitors their own space to exhibit at a show. Inside the booth, exhibitors can add a trade show display (aka: trade show booth), flooring, graphics, banner stands, etc… to finish off their presentation. I had no idea about what “pipe and drape” was, but now I do. In any case Camel Back is there to help with all of those details from design to delivery.

Work Work

July 4th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

*LOL* It’s a good thing I’m not working outside the home right now, because there would be no way for me to keep up with my at home work!! As many of you know, I do online work here on my blog, and on my other blog as well. Well, the online jobs have been picking up here lately. I recieved 2 jobs this week, from a company that hasn’t sent me anything in months. Plus my regular company…well, I have 12 assignments to get done by next Friday. All simple enough, when you say it, but add in my study time, the girls’ schooling, my posts for my HSN blog, and whatever other activities I find around the house, I’m left with very long days, very late nights, which usually turn into very early mornings, and not enough sleep….

It’s all good though…I need the jobs, and I am progressing well with my studying…the girls are doing well with their schooling…the house is decent….We are doing alright, we are survivors, we come out on the top of whatever is facing us, and we do it together, as a team, as a family.
