Sleep Deprevation

April 25th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | 3 Comments »

Can a person die from lack of sleep?? Okay, odd question I know, but it’s days like today that make me wonder….Yesterday I was so tired that I felt sick, and yet when I layed down, I slept only 2 hours. Has been like that for acouple of weeks…Not that uncommon for me, but still very annoying!! Would like to be able to sleep!!! I need sleep!!! Won’t happen for awhile yet today though, because I have a few things to do around town today.

Bridal Lingerie

April 25th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Planning this wedding was surely going to send her to the loony bin!! Here she was, neck deep in all the details, from the flowers, to the cake, to things like the gown and bridal lingerie, and the worst part about it, she wasn’t even sure she wanted to go through with the wedding. Having second thoughts was a lot like breathing to her…something she always did. Some said it was her nature to second guess herself, others thought that it stemmed from other problems.

Nice Weekend

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | 2 Comments »

It turned out to be a nice weekend, even though I was battling allergies all weekend. Friday I finally got my car back from the repair shop, after paying the bill with acouple of arms and legs…*LOL* Seriously, the $110 parts cost me almost $450 for them to put them on. So yep, if you add that up, it cost me $550 give or take a bit, to get my car fixed. I could almost pay all of my monthly bills with that, or I should say, “I could have, if it hadn’t been for the dumb car breaking down. One of the first things I’m going to do, when I get the money, is get a decent car that isn’t breaking down every other week, or needing a thousand different repairs done. A car that doesn’t have a piece broken on the back bumper, or part of the front bumper falling off…someday….someday soon I hope!!

The weather Friday wasn’t the best, but Saturday was just beautiful. The girls spent almost all day outside!! They’ve met some people that live right behind us, and have taken a shine to playing over there. So that’s where they spent the morning…I spent the morning doing laundry, and a few dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and doing some other little things around the house. This afternoon we went out to my Dad’s and sister’s house. The girls again played outside, and played with some children that the girls knew from here in town (the children’s grandparents live in the same town as my sister, and were there visiting). Just before dark we took a 2 mile walk, that was quite enjoyable. Other than that, we had dinner, and just enjoyed the time visiting.

Oh, the other big new is that I got a 100% on my first quiz for my medical transcriptioning course!!!! I’m very excited, and studying hard to get through it as quickly as possible!!

Well, I think that’s about it for tonight. I pray everyone is well, or is getting well!! *HUGS* to my dear friends whom I don’t hardly get to talk to these days!!!

Skate Shoes

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

As she headed out to work, she grabbed her skate shoes, as was customary as well. Her life was an orderly day composed of routine after routine, and she liked it that way. Oh, she liked to do things spontaniously as well, but in her mind, her routines only allowed her more time for her spontanious actions. In the garage she quickly kissed her husband and son “goodbye” as she got into her car, and they got into the other.

Work Conflict

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Wednesday night when I went into work, I was already in the process of losing my voice to laryngitis, but I worked anyway. I left a note, since I wasn’t sure I would see my boss the following morning, saying that I was requesting Thursday night off, due to my laryngitis. She said that would be fine, and that she would handle covering my shift. She called me later in the day, which I had Des answer the phone, because I barely had any voice at all, but I ended up talking to her anyway. She said that she had talked to a supervisor and neither one of them saw any reason why I should not work that night, and if I wanted the night off, I would have to find someone to cover my shift. I was not pleased!!!

Well think about it people. I work overnights…I am the only staff on duty…If something happened and I needed to make a phone call to my supervisor, or the police, how was I going to do that with NO VOICE????

My being there was a safety risk, and one that I was not willing to take. It is my responsibility to make sure those people are safe, and me having no voice, and being the only staff, was not safe!!

Plus, HOW can I find someone to cover my shift if I can’t talk on the phone??? My boss herself had to ask me to repeat things, because she couldn’t understand my squeakings and whisperings!!!!

In any case, I went up to talk to the big boss, who was not there, but in doing so, I found someone to cover my shift. I’m sure that did not please my boss at all, but she’ll get over it I suppose.

All I can think right now, is that I only have to hang on a few more months, with many prayers and a little luck anyway, and than I won’t have to deal with all the office politics and brown-nosing that goes on!!!

Life Insurance

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

She came out of the bathroom and went into the kitchen, to continue her morning rituals of having coffee, and sitting down to read a book while she had breakfast. Coffee was pre-made thanks to the handy timer technology. She got her coffee, and doctored it up with some milk and sugar. She turned with her coffee cup in hand, to sit at the table. She noticed movement in the doorway, and startled, she sloshed the hot coffee onto her hand and floor.

“Good Lord, it’s a good thing that my life insurance is paid up. You scared the daylights out of me”. She said.

Allergies Attacking

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

I had laryngitis Wednesday and Thursday (I took off work Thursday), and have been having horrible allergy problems. Talking to my friend Jacque for a few minutes today, she said that she uses Alfalfa or Chloriphil (spelling?), so first chance I get, I’m going to give that a try!!! I’ve tried just about every over-the-counter allergy medicine, and they just don’t seem to help all that much. I and Des have also had plenty of prescription allergy meds, but again, they just don’t seem to clear Des’s nose, or help my sinus headaches all that much. I’m really hoping that Jacque’s suggestions help!!!

Bathroom Lighting

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

After her morning jog, she always took a shower. It was an absolute must in her mind. It always made her feel refreshed. She went into the bathroom and flipped on the lights, and prepared for her shower. Her bathroom lighting wasn’t the best, but it sufficed her needs. Aside from the few times a year that she wore makeup, she didn’t see the need to have her bathroom lit up like a Christmas tree…Now her livingroom, that doubled as her hobby room was a different story. She had excellent lighting in there, and also in the kitchen and dining room.

In and Out

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

That describes my life lately..*LOL*…I’ve been in and out of health, in and out of the house, in and out of money (mostly out!), and in and out of the cyberworld as well.

Things have just been crazy busy lately! The girls had a dentist appointment earlier this week. It went pretty well. Meg has 1 tooth that is going to get filled at the next appointment, and both girls are getting a sealant put on their teeth to help protect them from cavities, because both of them have a condition where their enamel isn’t as thick as it’s supposed to be. All in all though, I think that’s pretty good!

More later on my crazy busy life!

Build Muscle

April 20th, 2008 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

As she jogged along, various thoughts passed through her mind, as they always did at this early hour of the morning. This was her time…time to think of anything that came to mind. She liked jogging, and found time to do it every morning. Sometimes it wasn’t really convienent, but she did it anyway. She wasn’t trying to build muscle, just keep them toned, and while doing something healthy for her body, and thinking these random thoughts was healthy for her mind and heart as well.
