Well

January 16th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

I got a bit of work done this morning, although I still have quite a bit to do…that will have to wait though. I am exhausted, as I didn’t get much sleep yesterday…

Seems the way of things around here…things waiting that is…House needs cleaned, dishes have needed done for days, laundry to do….work on the computer, and yet it never seems as if I have time….

I long for the day that I will be able to stay home full time!! I know that I will still be busy, and I know even then that some things will not get done on the day I want them too, but I still think that I will be able to accomplish a  lot more, when I’m able to stay at home!

Continue to pray for my family, please!!! And for those concerned souls, who wondered what was going on, why I wasn’t around much…all is well…and I greatly appreciate you concern, and your prayers!!

Masters In Psychology

This blog post was based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

Have you ever thought of getting a masters in psychology?? I can’t say that I ever have, but I still find reading certain information informative.

Like this little snippet “Teresa Chaulk, a PhD student at Capella University (www.capella.edu), has been named superintendent of Lincoln County School District Number One in Wyoming.”

For those of you wondering Capella is an accredited, fully online university based in Minneapolis. They have numerous programs, including business, public safety, and many many others. They were founded in 1993. They are a fully online university, that has state-approved programs in leadership and reading and literacy.

Pretty cool in my book! Desi says that she wants to “stay home and do college”. And while I do think she’s a bit young to be deciding whether she is going to college, doing online college, or even doing college at all, it is nice to know that options are available for her!!

Iron On’s

January 16th, 2008 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Most of you know that my girls are in Girl Scouts…well, back when I was in Girl Scouts, all of the patches and badges were sewn on. Well, nowadays everything is iron on….I really don’t like this!!! While it might be quicker and more convienent for parents to just be able to iron these on, I find faults with their “better” way. They don’t stick like they should!!! I have spent the last two days sewing on all of the girl’s patches and badges that were previously ironed on, because through washing and wear the patches had started to come off!!!

I am disappointed in this new “better” way, because it’s just using more of my time, to iron them on, and than have to go back and sew them on too!!!

Fiber Cable

The uses of fiber cable still amazed her. How could something so simple be used in so many different ways? Okay, so there was the standard use, but given a little bit of ingenuity, people could come up with a hundred different ways to use it. Of course that is the way of the world. Make something with only one use in mind, and than through trial and error, find other ways of using that same object.

Sunday Scribblings-Date

January 16th, 2008 -- Posted in Sunday Scribblings | 2 Comments »

hmmm….interesting topic this week! It’s really kind of hard for me to think of something to write on this subject.

Two of the dates that stand out in my mind are the days that my beautiful children were born. Those will be days that I will always remember!! Desi was a “Dr, you better hurry up and catch” and Meg well, she was a bit more painful, but almost as quick….I remember when they were first placed in my arms…The apprehension I felt, wondering what kind of mother I would be, the wonderment that this beautiful little person was inside me, and the joy that God had given me these special gifts.

Capella University

This blog post was based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

Let me tell you about capella university. It was founded in 1993. Capella University is an accredited, fully online university that offers graduate online degree programs in areas that include business, information technology, education, public health, and psychology, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology, and public safety. Additionally, within those areas, Capella offers 104 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 15 certificate programs, as of October 23, 2007.

That all sounds pretty good to me. I think the best part is that it is an online college!! This is especially helpful for people that live in remote areas, or simply can not handle the traditional class schedule because of work, or family obligations. Or maybe someone just does not like the crowds of colleges, and prefers to stay at home, and still recieve the higher education of college classes.

Capella’s online university currently serves nearly 20,000 students from all 50 states and 56 countries.
