I bought a new vacuum not long ago, I’d say back in August or so. Anyway, I got it from Walmart. A Eureka Altima….I learned to dislike it very quickly!! You would have to go over the same spot several times, and than you would have to turn around and vacuum where you had just been, because it would throw the dirt out the back, enough so, that when wearing shorts you could feel the dirt hitting your legs…Oh man, was this thing easy to plug too!! It’s not like I was vacuuming big chunks of anything either, just dirt and hair, and yet it would plug every time I used it!! The last week I used it, I had to replace the belt twice!!
In any case, I had been praying for a new vacuum, a good vacuum. The Lord presented me with an opportunity to get an Oreck XL, and I took it!! Yes, it is quite an expensive vacuum, but as the saying goes “You get what you pay for”….In any case I love it!!! No dirt hitting my legs, no problems with it plugging, and I only have to go over an area once!! Plus I got a handy little canister vacuum with it, which is also very cool, and has excellent suction power!!!
In any case, I’m now happy with my vacuum, and my old one went out to the trash today!! Although it still worked, I did not feel right about giving it to someone, knowing how aweful it worked!

Well, as I mentioned in an earlier post, my resolutions are posted at the top of my sidebar, so I won’t repeat them here..
I have many hopes for this new year, so unexpected things that I’m hoping/praying for, and some that I have been praying about for a long time.
One that I didn’t think I would ever be thinking or wondering about again, is whether there is a Mr. Right out there for me somewhere. I am still basically paralyzed in fear of another relationship, and yet I have the yearning in my heart to have a husband and more children.

Well, anyone that uses the computer much, and does any of the upkeep on a computer, such as virus scans, knows something about spyware. There are several free programs, and many more that you pay for the program to remove this stuff from your computer…
Well here is another one called spybot. It is a FREE program, of which I really like that part!! You can log onto their website to read all the details of what the program does.
From what I read though, it’s pretty awesome, and I, myself will be downloading it!! So, I guess if you are looking for a vote for this program, I can’t say it’s good, because I have not used, BUT I am interested in it enough to download it!!!

I can’t remember when our last snow was, a week ago or so, I think, but in any case, on with my story….
I was at work for the majority of the time it snowed…I would look out the window, and step outside to look…The world seemed so peaceful, so serene (sp?). By early morning, the world, or at least our part of the world was blanketed in pure white, sparkling snow. In the dawning light, the sky was gray, it seemed as if the whole world was gray and white, peacefully sleeping. You could not tell, looking far off, where the sky stopped and the ground started….
I can’t really explain it…The way it looked, or the way I felt, but it was wonderful, for lack of a better word…I remember standing outside, in the gray dawn, with snow falling around me…I remember not being cold, and thinking that this is what God is about….peace and serinity, blanketing you, enveloping you in HIS arms of protection and love.

Looking far off at the Outer Banks, she stood wondering what life had in store for her. She couldn’t help but think that there was more to life than her current state of being. It had been a long time since she had been here, her once favorite spot.
Lately she had spent all of her time in the city, focusing on her career, and living in her ultra modern condo, that no longer brought her peace. It was here, amongst the trees, and the lakes that she felt at peace.
