I am officially on vacation!!!!!! I am so happy!!!!!! After my meeting on Wednesday, I filled out paperwork that night for the time off….This vacation had to be God’s idea, because I had found people to cover my shift within 24 hours of having the idea to take some time off!!! That NEVER happens with overnights, because nobody wants to work those hours!! This time was different, I had it all worked out by Thursday night.
So after an incredibly busy weekend, I am going to kick back, relax, spend some major time with God, get my house cleaned up, focus on schoolwork and also some charactor training….I’m just going to take this time to breath….
I think this time will do me a world of good, and hopefully will also lead me to whether I’m supposed to find another job, or not…

I haven’t really had much to do with vacation rentals, as we usually just camp out when we take vacations, or we take day trips, but someday….
This past spring we took a trip to a nearby zoo, and had lots of fun. My sister and I have several other zoos and other places that we would like to take the kids, and are anxiously awaiting spring so that we can start doing these things.
For long trips, well, one of these days I would like to take the kids to Disney Land, and to the San Diego zoo!! I would also love to make a trip down to Texas, to visit my home church again…It’s been 12 years or so, since I was there, but I still consider it my home church.
For even longer trips, well, I have dreams of going to Australia and Ireland!!! Someday it will happen!!

Well, went in for the meeting with Sid and Laurie today, as well as the staff meeting that was already scheduled.
I can’t say that anything deffinite came out of that meeting with Sid and Laurie…Instead of being an “overnight chore list” it will become a “house chore list”, which I think is a good thing….Laurie again said that she would watch the notes in the book, but than she’s said that before too….I don’t know…I came out of the meeting feeling happier, and more at ease with things….
Which leaves me wondering what to do!! My whole intentions was to find another job, because I couldn’t/can’t handle the stress of things at work, the way they’ve been. But assuming that things improve, I hate to leave the company…After 1 year, I now have 3 weeks paid vacation time, I have good benefits, I like the job (mostly), the shift works for me so that I can still homeschool the girls….So now I don’t know what to do!!!!!

Did you ever realize how important mailboxes are?? *LOL* I know, strange question!! My nephew made me realize how important they are! Your mailbox should reflect you! Who wants just a run of the mill mailbox, when you can have one shaped like a tractor, or an elephant…Me personally, I think I would like one that is a male lion, just because they are one of my favorite animals…and I think it’d be kinda cool sticking my hand in the mouth of a lion to get my mail!! *LOL* My nephew, he wants a purple mailbox!! I’m sure we could find a mailbox that would be just right with Whitehall Mailboxes
Whitehall even does Custom Mailboxes. I think that is pretty cool!!! Especially since I have never seen a lion mailbox, I might have to contact Whitehall and see how much it would cost to get a lion one. *LOL* Yes, I’m crazy, I know!!
Whitehill also has Personalized Mailboxes. I think that would be pretty cool too. And they have more than just your run of the mill mailboxes, they also have ones that are wall mounted, and well….you’ll just have to go to the website, and check them out!!

Well, Wednesday I called and set up a meeting with “the big boss”, Sid. Just before that meeting…Laurie called me. She asked me if anything was wrong, at first I wasn’t going to tell her, but as it ended up, I did. I told her how rude I thought her comments were, and that I was really upset that it had been put in the communication book for all to see. I also thought that the list of things for me to do every night was unrealistic. From that phone call, I pretty much got an “oh well” response from Laurie….
So off I went to my meeting with Sid. There were good things that came out of that meeting…Sid told me that she did not think that one comment was out of line, she did say that she had talked to Laurie about some of the other things written in that communication book. And we went over some of the things that I was supposed to be doing at night, and she said that she would speak to Laurie about them, as she saw that some of those things didn’t need to be done ever night and that the people that live in that house should be doing some of those things…
I had asked her about transfering, but that was a no go, because of no open positions…That kind of upset me, because they have transfered other people, for simuliar (sp?) reasons. They would just switch people from other houses, and switch me over there….but in any case, I could put in a request to be transfered, but it could be months….
Other than that, we scheduled a meeting where all three of us would sit down and talk…That meeting was today…Things seemed to be ironed out, but I have to wonder how long it will last.
Thank you all for your prayers!!!

Las Vegas, one of the major hubs in tourism today. And to think that I used to live there!! There are many things I didn’t like about Las Vegas, the amount of people, the busy traffic, the cost of living….but than there are things that I did like about it too!
A lot of the Las Vegas Hotels are just unbelievably gorgeous!! One of my favorites is the Mirage! Of course I’m partial to big cats, and one of their trademarks are the white tigers.
My significant other used to work at one of the Las Vegas Hotels. The Monte Carlo is not so well known as the Mirage, or the MGM, the Bellagio, but it is still a nice place. I think a quieter atmosphere, because it is less well known.
I think you can find a Las Vegas Hotels to suit any of your fantasies. They have ones that focus on animals, the jungle, that type thing. Then you have the really sophisticated ones like the Bellagio and the Venetian. Egpytian motif to your liking?? Well they have the Luxor. And I can’t remember the name of it, but they have one that is built like a castle, and does like mid-evil knights and such thing….
Las Vegas can be a wonderful place to visit, and even to live, I suppose, living there just wasn’t what I wanted, I wouldn’t mind going back to visit though.
