Payday Loan Quotes

November 1st, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Have you ever thought about getting a payday loan, but really didn’t know how much it would cost you in the long run?? Well, now you can get Payday Loan Quotes. This site features a payday loan fee calculator and gives you multiple quotes on payday loans.

A payday loan or cash advance is a quick and easy way to bridge your cash needs between pay days without a credit check. It is a small short-term loan that can range from $100 up to $1,500. The money can be electronically deposited and repaid from your checking account on mutually agreed upon dates.

Sounds simple and easy right?? Well, it can be, but I will say that the fees can sometimes be outrageous, that’s why I like the idea of this site that will give you quotes on the fees.

Halloween

November 1st, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | 4 Comments »

Well, we celebrated Halloween like millions of other people in America, and possibly the world (I’m not sure if any other countries observe Halloween)…The girls dressed up in their princess dresses (which are actually big ball gowns, but the girls call them “princess dresses”)…We went out trick-or-treating, first with my sister and her son, and than they went home, and the girls and I continued here around town….

I have always known the history behind Halloween, but have always thought that as long as the girls had nice costumes, there was no harm in going around like everybody else, and getting candy…However, I wonder at my wisdom now…Does the history behind Halloween really give us the right as Christians to participate??

My friend Jocelyn did a post about Halloween, and it really got me to thinking…A dangerous thing for me to be doing…I tend to over-analyze things, and worry and wonder…*S*..This is deffinetely something I am going to have to do some thinking on!!! Still I wonder how, now that the girls have gone trick-or-treating, if I decided that I didn’t think it was the right thing to do anymore, I wonder how to explain it to them, how to get them to except, without a fight, that they would no longer be doing it??….

More later……

St. Augustine Events

November 1st, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

I’ve heard stories about St. Augustine events..Wonderful stories that make me want to go…one of these days!!

I’ve heard it’s incredible!! Books, art, antiques, music, train tours, and so much more…All in one place, all at the same time…A dream come true!! Especially for people like me, who have lots of different interests!! Books are a special joy to me, I love music, and a train tour sounds like lots of fun!!!

Something special that you can get in on, is the end-of-the-month event, Uptown Saturday Night. It is a favorite that takes place from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm the last Saturday in October and November. The Mission of Nombre de Dios provides FREE PARKING for Uptown Saturday Night. Each participating shop features an open house with wine and refreshments that add to the festive night time atmosphere. Remember that would be October 27th and November 24th.

During the last Saturdays in October and November the focus is on the incredible antique shopping opportunities available in the Nation’s Oldest City. On that evening, the antique district concentrated along San Marco Avenue comes to life with lively street music and endless opportunities to shop for antiques, rare books – even authentic Spanish treasure. A short walk away, additional antique discoveries can be made along Aviles Street – the oldest street in America. Galleries, antique stores and unique shops between Ripley’s Museum and the Mission of Nombre de Dios remain open during this special time. Meet the artists, go to book signings and enjoy live music, refreshments and other events in the party-like atmosphere.

What an awesome learning experience!!!

There are many other awesome things going on as well!! Arts & Craft festivals, HOLLY JOLLY TROLLEY TOUR OF THE NIGHTS OF LIGHTS, FAMILY FUN DAY, NEW WORK FROM LOCAL ARTISTS, DARK OF THE MOON TOUR, and MANY MANY other exciting events!!

You would have to go check out their website to see all the GREAT things they have scheduled!!!

Monday Memories-Very Late

November 1st, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Well it’s Thursday, and I’m just getting around to doing my Monday Memories post, but oh well…Nobody has ever said I’m good about keeping a schedule!! *LOL*

I really have no clear concept of this post…so I figured I would let my fingers take me where my memories want to go.

I remember when I was a young child, we are talking 5 and 6…my Dad worked on ranches in Wyoming….My sister and I would sometimes go out with him, when he was bucking hay, and climb around on the giant hay stacks..Of course, back then, round bales were an oddity, so I am talking the rectangular bales…

I also remember in the summer, when my Dad was digging irrigation ditches, my sister and I would go out with him, and play in the ditches, and catch water bugs.

I remember that I was scared to walk across the cattle guards, because I thought I would fall through the bars into the big hole beneath. Yes, I know, a bit unreasonable, as the bars are only a few inches apart. but that didn’t matter to me then.

I also remember one morning, I begged Dad to let me go with him…I can’t even remember what time of year it was, or really anything else…Except, Dad had to go into town that morning, and I, the night before, begged him to let me go with him, which he said was fine…I got up real early in the morning, it still being dark, but I can’t remember what time it was exactly…To go with my Dad, even to this day, you best be up pretty early…In any case, we went into town, and like I said, I have no idea why, my guess is that he needed a tractor part or something like that, but I have no real memory of it…I do remember however, that we stopped at a resturant, can’t remember if we ate, I think we did, but I do remember sitting there and feeling like I was the most special girl in the world, because my Dad let me come along with him that morning, and took me out to have hot chocolate (he had coffee)..

Good Dad’s are hard to come by these days…I am forever thankful for the one that I have!! He still makes me feel like the most special girl in the world, when he does little special things, like buy me the crockpot, or when he kisses the top of my head, when he reaches out to grab my hand as I walk by for no other reason than to give it a squeeze of affection…

iFLOOR

November 1st, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

This is the age of buying almost everything online. I haven’t heard of anything that you can’t get online!! Something that has become pretty popular is buying flooring online. Well, some manufacturers have been fighting the warranty policies for people buying their flooring online. So in response to a growing number of warranty claims being denied for online buyers, iFLOOR is adding up to $1,000,000 of warranty protection for all customers! In return, iFLOOR reserves the right to seek legal justice on behalf of their customers.

iFLOOR, America’s largest online flooring retailer, today announced a $1,000,000 limited warranty designed to protect its customers from predatory manufacturer policies that exclude warranty coverage from online purchases.

The policy, which goes into effect immediately, offers up to one million dollars of coverage in the event that a customer’s warranty claim is denied specifically because they made their purchase online. It is complimentary for every iFLOOR customer, and protects the buyer under the same terms as the original product warranty.

iFLOOR, Inc. CEO, Steve Simonson, came up with the program to combat “scare tactics” used by manufacturers of hardwood floors and laminate flooring. “Their idea is to discourage you from buying at a discount!” wrote Simonson in his blog “It’s About Flooring”. “This is not right! You deserve to save money! So we’re going to take care of this problem once and for all.”

And it would appear that federal law is on his side. Section 108 of the 1975 Magnuson-Moss Act, states that, “In general, tie-in sales provisions are not allowed. Such a provision would require a purchaser of the warranted product to buy an item or service from a particular company to use with the warranted product in order to be eligible to receive a remedy under the warranty.”

Under iFLOOR’s new warranty, a key provision allows for iFLOOR to “seek justice” on behalf of the customer in the event of legal action. According to Simonson, “I’m putting iFLOOR’s money where my mouth is.”

I’m Still Alive

November 1st, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Sorry, have been really busy these past couple of days, so I haven’t posted anything. Between school and some errands, I haven’t gotten hardly any sleep, so I’m exhausted and in no mood for doing computer work the past couple of days.

Anyway…Just wanted to let you all know that all is well here, and I should be back either Thurs or Friday to do some updating!!
