Hospitals…hmm…alot comes to mind when I think of hospitals…
My first thought is when Des hit her chin on the headboard to her bed, and ended up needed glued back together…For anyone that doesn’t know, that’s what liquid stitches are…glue…*LOL* Oh, that was so much fun…3 kids, my sister and I, at the ER…Des dripping blood…Really though I think the after math was worse, trying to get her to be careful not to bump it, or pick at it, trying to keep the food and liquids away from it…The joys of parenthood!! *LOL*
Than I think of my Dad…He has/had palps on his sinuses, and it cause major bloody noses…I went to the bowling alley one night with my sister and then husband, but than I had to go back home and get ready for work…I walk in the door, Dad is laying on a couch we had at that time, and there are MASSIVE puddles of blood all over the livingroom floor….Dad is passed out on the couch…I wake him, sort of, and imediately take him to the ER (We didn’t know what the problem was then)…He was in the hospital for two or three days…
And finally…I think of my Mother. I was a month short of 16, when she passed away.

As a Mother, it is vitally important to me that my children get the best education possible, which is why I homeschool! However, I’m not so good in certain subjects, and I must admitt that concerned me, when I was deciding whether to homeschool my girls or not…Math, especially just isn’t my thing!! After much prayer and thought, I decided that I would go ahead and homeschool the girls, even though I anticipate some academic problems in the coming years, because of my shortcomings. But you know, even if the subject is beyond me, and if my family (who are much better at math) can’t figure it out..There is always the choice of choosing an Innovative Tutor. Score Learning has especially caught my eye.

Well all, we have Girl Scouts this afternoon, so I’m heading to bed for awhile…providing I can sleep…
I have done some updating over at my other blog…Footprints In The Sand. It’s a blog I started months ago, and than just kind of let go…I hadn’t been into it for months, but have been thinking for several weeks now that I should revive it…So last night and today I have done a little modifying to the theme, and sidebar and such, although I still have a lot more work that I’d like to do over there…but feel free to stop over!!!
Other than that all…I think I’m off to bed! *HUGS* and Good Night, or Good Morning to normal folks! *LOL*

Well, Sunday we didn’t really do a lot…I cleaned more, in hopes of getting my house under control…I haven’t done so well on my own, so I am trying a system from www.flylady.net . Bubble has used this site for quiet awhile and has had good results, so I’m hoping to start establishing some good housecleaning habits myself.
I also did some computer work, and made dinner. But the best part of the day is when the girls asked to go for a bike ride. Last night was the first time that I had taken King with us, and I wasn’t sure how it would work out…I mean he’s good at walking with us, but he is over-weight, and getting kind of old, so I wasn’t sure he would be able to keep up, but he did beautifully!! I was supprised that he jogged all the way, without even a hint of slowing down. Plus, he never once tried to cross in front of my bike!! I am so happy to have another way to exercise him, and spend time with the girls as well!!!
A short nap, and it was time to go to work….

Well I can’t say that I know anything about mortgages, and probably less about Mortgage Brokers, but with me looking to get a house of my own in the fairly near future, it stands to reason that I ought to learn what I can about them!!
Of course I would probably need Bubble to help translate all of the information…My brain just doesn’t work well when it comes to math, and complicated topics. With all the different things, like Fixed Rate, and Variable Rate, Tracker Mortgages, and Offset Mortgages…It’s all very confusing to me!!
There are some great sites out there too, that can help decipher all the differences, and helps you make the right choice.

Well Saturday we met up mid morning or so, and headed out to a half way nearby Walmart…We were going to look at Christmas decorations…Well this Walmart was a sad one to be sure…They hadn’t gotten most of their Christmas stuff out yet, and had a poor selection of what they did have out…so that was a bust. But we wandered around…
Bubble had given me this great idea on using a crockpot to make meals for the girls and I, because you can put the stuff in and not have to worry or babysit it much…Well, I hadn’t any idea what they cost, so I took a sidetrip in Walmart to go look at them, with Bubble and Dad following behind…Dad being Dad, after looking at them, he said get it….Well, I had spent all my money when I went to Topeka, and I told him so…and like I said…Dad is Dad…He bought one for me, and one for Bubble too!!!
Than he went to look at the $5 movies…He ended up getting 4 or 5 I think…You wouldn’t believe all the movies that they have!! And they just keep getting more!! Though I have to admitt that the majority of those are self recorded on VHS, and are of questionable quality, so they are trying to replace them with store bought DVD’s…..
Than we went back to their place, watched acouple of movies, talked for awhile, got pictures of the kids with their pumpkins, and than the girls and I headed home…
It was a nice day!!

Is to visit Hawaii. I know, typical tourist attractions aren’t generally my style, but the beaches look so inviting!! You can find some great Kauai vacation rentalstoo!!
I can’t think of a better way to record my dream trip than with pictures and a Kauai Travel Blog…Wouldn’t that be fun?? Kauai, and the rest of the islands, look so beautiful, at least in pictures!!
What to Do in Kauai you ask….Well, there’s about a 100 different answers to that question! There is, of course, SHOPPING!!! *LOL* But lets talk about some of the less obvious…*LOL*…Like going to explore Waimea Canyon and Koke’e State Park, taking a helicopter ride, touring the Na Pali Coast by Boat or Zodiak Raft, or how about visiting Limahuli Garden and Preserve, or maybe you’d like to tour a working Sugar Plantation… All of those things sound like a lot of fun!!!
Aww, yes Kauai sounds wonderful!! Someday I will go…someday.

Well, the call came in Thursday night, from my sister’s landlord, which I pretty much told you all about a few days ago…I want to thank you all for praying with us!! They went to the bank on Friday, but didn’t have all the necesary information, so they are taking the papers in today, in hopes of getting financing.
The girls and I went out Friday, early afternoon, or maybe it was late morning…In any case I had promised Malachi that I would come out and spend some time with him…I brought him into town to my house while they went to the bank, and I got some more cleaning done on my house, that I had started that morning…After that, we went back out, because we were all going to carve pumpkins together…
First time I ever remember carving pumpkins, and up until now the girls I didn’t really think were old enough to enjoy it, and circumstances just haven’t worked out in past years anyway…In anycase they cleaned them out, and I did the carving…Man, that is a lot of work!!!!
Came back into town about 9pm that night, with plans to meet up to go to Walmart on Saturday….

I can’t say that we really have any electronic nuts in the family, aside from the general computers, printers, cameras and such things like that.
On one hand though, the products that I’m talking about today don’t have to be for the out and out electronic nut!! The desktop charging station and the Gorillapod Tripod can be for anyone!!
Here’s some of the low-down on the tripod, which I deffinetely thought was AWESOME!!!
Flexible joints bend and rotate up to 360°
Lock ring provides extra security that your camera remains attached to the tripod
Rubberized ring and foot grips provide super gripping power
Keep the slim-line attachment connected to your camera for quick-release
You can wrap its legs around a branch, pole, or the back of a chair. The Gorillapod is perfect for the shutterbug on the go. It’s small size means you can toss it in your pocket or backpack.
How cool is that??? I think it’s pretty awesome!!!
And here’s some of the specs on the charging system.
Charge up to 3 devices at a time
5 outlet power strip with surge protection
Smooth, matte midnight black finish
11.5″ x 10″ x 4.75″
It neatly hides cords while charging up to three devices at a time. The 5-plug surge protector is concealed and the small shelf and drawer store other items such as your keys and wallet. Isn’t that pretty cool too??
Check them out!!
