How many of you know about LED Christmas lights?? LED lights are truly the wave of the future, and it’s one of the few times that progress is a good thing!! Read what the U.S. Department of Energy has to say about LED lights.

“A study recently estimated that over 2 billion kilowatt hours of electricity could be saved if U.S. households replaced their traditional inefficient incandescent holiday lights with LED lighting. The estimated energy savings would be enough energy to power about 200,000 homes for an entire year. LED holiday lights use 80-99% less energy than standard incandescent lights and will last for more than 50,000 hours.” And this website says “An average sized Christmas tree illuminated with incandescent string lighting for a 30 day period will consumer approximately 75kW of energy. The same tree illuminated with LED string lighting for the same period will use only 7.5kW of energy. This is an energy savings of 68.5 kW of electricity per year for a single Christmas tree. The energy savings even more significant for the many homes who decorate extensively with string lighting.”

Now that, most deffinetely has me looking into LED Christmas lights for my family!!

The girls have been doing extremely well at not arguing and fighting, up until today anyway. The girls started arguing the moment they opened their eyes, and it’s only continued since then. We’ve had out and out arguing, mean faces, and a whole lot of attitude when speaking to each other!!!

After we get done taking one of my cats to the Vet, am going to sit them down, have a talk with them, and again impress upon them that God does not want them arguing, or speaking in a mean voice to each other…It has worked for about a week now, so hopefully it will continue to work!!

There are so many different types of insurance. car insurance, life insurance, home insurance, and all of these different kinds of insurances have a hundred different options. Liability, full coverage, accidental death, term life, renter’s insurance, well you get the picture.

I am often in a mind boggle, because I’m never quite sure which insurance is right for me. And some of the prices are unbelievable, this I have found especially on life insurance. I like the company I go through for my car insurance. I also have some life insurance with them as well, and when money provides, plan to get some more. My agent is very nice and good at explaining the different benefits, and cost comparisons!

I think it is very important to have an agent that will sit down and talk with you about the different options and benefits, no matter how much time out of her day that it takes!

I don’t know about where you live, but here in Kansas there is no law stating how old your child has to be, to be left home alone. Social Rehabilitation Services recommends the child be 10-12 years old, but then that is only a recommendation.

I know that ever child matures at a different age/rate…but I really wonder at what age are they ready to be left alone?? I can’t remember how old I was, when I was being left home alone…I couldn’t have been much older, if any, than Desiree. I never had any problems being home alone….Do I think that Desi and Meg are ready to be home alone?? Well, I’m not sure….I think they could handle it, but the only way to find out, is to try it….

I don’t know…will have to think about it.

As many of you know, I lived in Las Vegas for 3 or 4 years…In some ways I enjoyed my time there, and in other ways I did not like it all that much. As over the top as the casinos, oh I’m sorry Resorts and Casinos, are, you can only imagine what the Las Vegas luxury homes are like!! I never went in any of the really expensive places, since my friends are all, well, can’t afford such places…but just from the outsides of them, you can imagine what the insides are like!!

I can’t get over how expensive it was to live there though! We lived in a two bedroom, rather dumpy mobile home, and was paying almost $500 a month!!! That’s pretty cheap back there!! I realize rent is up everywhere, a sad realization for us struggling folks, but back there, it was just ridiculous!!

Have no idea why I’m so tired….Slept a good amount, with a minimum of wake ups…But I’m still really dragging….

There is a possibility that I will be working all weekend too…joy!! The weekend overnighter is in the hospital….and so they need someone to cover…I told them the only way I would do it is if I could bring my girls with me. I SERIOUSLY doubt they will go for that, but I guess if they get desperate enough, they will…Will make for acouple of long weeks, but will be good for the paycheck, and right now I need those good paychecks…

I’ve traveled through Arizona before…Even taken two vacations there, when we lived in Las Vegas….I find it a beautiful place, and very contridictory in some ways….There are beautiful mountains, with trees, and lakes, and than other parts are just red desert….Some of the towns are those kind that if you blink, you miss them…and others are big sprawling cities….You have old, simple, sometimes rundown houses, and you have Arizona luxury real estate…It’s all rather a study of life itself I think….

Girl Scouts had a parent’s meeting tonight, which was basically just to go over the information for selling nuts and candy, and magazine subscriptions.

Generally it was nothing new to me, except that we can only sell to friends and family this year, instead of being able to go door to door. For my two girls to get the patches, they need to sell 2 magazine subscriptions/renewals, and 10 nuts/candy each!! Considering we don’t have much family, this could be difficult, but we are sure going to try!!

I’ve always thought it would be really cool to go to a Bed and Breakfast. One of those in an old Victorian house, maybe with the Ocean nearby….To lie in bed, and hear the waves of the ocean….Sounds beautiful doesn’t it?

To watch the girls playing on the beach, and dipping their toes into the cold water, and shreaking with delight…*BS*…Yep, sure sounds beautiful!!! Maybe some day it will happen for real, and not be just a dream.

Okay, this time I’m really going….Kids were getting dressed, so I thought I might as well do another assignment for my computer work…But they are just about ready, so looks like work comes to a halt for now.

*sigh* Days need to be about 12 hours longer…than maybe I could get half of what I need to do, done!!

Anyway, God Bless you all!!! And, I’m outta here!! *HUGS*
