The Punishment

The punishment that I enacted for the girl’s misbehavior today is that they have to go straight to bed as soon as we pick up the babysitter, for 1 week, and they are not allowed to watch movies for 1 week…..

That along with them thinking that I threw away all the glue, scissors, and watercolor paints…hopefully will get the message through to them that I am seriously upset at their behavior!!!!

I just don’t understand why they do things they KNOW they aren’t supposed to do!!!! It irritates, and frustrates me to no end!!!!! I’m not sure what I am supposed to do!!!

Porch Light

I would love to have some outdoor lighting at my house!! It doesn’t even have a porch light…well okay, techniquely I don’t have a porch, but it doesn’t have any kind of light in the yard, and that bugs me!! I have tripped over things in my yard more than once in the dark!!

Do you think I expect too much from a rental house?? *LOL*

Not A Good Day!!!!

Today has been horrible…..want to cry, want to crawl back in bed and pull the covers over my head…..want to get away!!!!

This morning I come home with a major headache…have to fight to get the girls up…Finally get them up and going, so we take the sitter home, and than I come home to lay down….

So the for the first time this week, we skipped school, which makes me both mad, and somewhat worried….but such is life I suppose…

I get up to find my livingroom trashed….glue stick out on the table, scissors Lord only knows where, and on and on are the offenses of my children….All things they KNOW they aren’t supposed to do, or touch!!! Has been the worst day in months!!!!!!!! They had my high heals in their room, after being specifically told last night that they could not use them for dress up…..They wasted all of my scotch tape that I had on my computer desk….They had drinks in their play room….The list continues, but I am too upset right now to go into any more!!!!

I just want to hold my head and cry!!!!!!!!!!!!

Animal Bedding

I’m sure you all have seen the animal print bedding that is out nowadays. I’ve seen cheetah, zebra, and tiger….Oh, and leopard, but that’s kind of like cheetah…Anyway there was a time that I thought it’d be cool to have a bedding set like that, to show my wild side, ya know?? Well I found this site that has some really cool stuff, for a comparative price…They even have a Giraffe pattern!!

I think I’m a little past the animal bedding, but the girls would love it I’m sure!!!

Last One

Okay, this is the last post, at least for now!! Have to get back to work you know…*L*….

I would like to thank everyone for coming to my blog and visiting me!!! I love all your comments, and love to read your blogs as well!!! Which I will be trying to come and visit you all in the next few days, but will have to wait and see how things go!!!

Beds

I have this wonderful set of bunk beds at my sister’s house. They of course are the girl’s beds…When my sister was babysitting all the time for me, well it seemed natural to have the beds at her house…but now that I’ve found a sitter here in town, I’ve been thinking about bringing the beds back to my house…

There are acouple of problems with this thought though….Number one, is the fact that you would need a pickup to bring them into town, which of course we don’t have….We could probably get a friend to help us with that, but is it so important that I have to inconvience a friend?? Another problem would be that I don’t know where I would put the beds at my house…Yes, it is is a two bedroom house, but us three girls have LOTS of stuff stuffed into that second bedroom…Of course most of the stuff belongs to the kids of course!! *LOL*

A Friend and A Talk

A friend and I were talking at work tonight, well okay last night, about how difficult it is being a single parent…She has a 2 year old ( I think) daughter, and I of course have my two girls…Basically I was thinking of how financially difficult it is, but then again, there is the fact that you can basically go no-where by yourself, unless of course you want to hire a sitter, but being a single Mom, you probably don’t have money to hire a sitter, just for the fun of it….

You are that child’s complete world….There is no one else for the kid to ask questions, or to play with, or, well the list goes on and on…It’s a very scary thought for me….What happens if something happens to me?? I am the center of the girl’s world…Yes, I have family members that would care for the girls, love the girls…and so on, but can you just imagine how lost the girls would be without me??

Single parenting isn’t easy, but it’s not just the financial concerns, or the fact that if the kid is sick, it is you and only you that is staying up all night with them while they barf all over you….It’s not just the times that they want to go and do something, want you to play with them, or simply want you to read to them, but you are so utterly and completely exhausted that you aren’t even sure you could spell your own name, let alone DO something with them, it is the concerns and fears that go along with being the only one there for your kids.

There are times

When I really dislike renting houses!!..I don’t have any say in what carpet is in it, what paint goes on the walls, not even what kind of kitchen sinks are in the place!!

Okay, I realize that not all Landlords are this way, and the one I have, well, I can make any changes to the house, like new carpet or new paint, that I want, but I have to pay for it….Why am I going to spend hundreds, or thousands of dollars fixing up a house that I don’t even own??

However, he isn’t going to put any money into the house that he doesn’t have to!! The kitchen carpet is disgustingly dirty, and falling apart, but is he going to replace it?? NO!! The carpets needed steam cleaned before I moved in, but did he have it done?? NO!!…Does the whole livingroom need repainted?? YES!!! Is he going to do it?? NO!!!

I just wish I owned my own house, so I could make the changes that I wanted, without it being a waste…

More Things

Well, aside from schoolwork, I can’t say that we’ve done much this week. I’ve worked of course…*L* sometimes I wonder when I don’t work!! Tonight at work, I’ve swept and mopped the kitchen, diningroom, one of the bathrooms, the entryway, and the laundryroom. As well as washed, dried, and folded 1 load of laundry, and washed acouple of spots on the walls in the kitchen, and washed all the walls in the livingroom….

Yep, it’s been busy, but don’t pat me on the back too much…*LOL* Haven’t done a whole lot here at work this week, so I had to do something….*LOL*

As for computer work, well, I didn’t do any yesturday…shame on me!! *LOL* Did acouple this morning as you can see, and have 4 or 5 more that I would like to do later on today, but I don’t know if they will all get done or not….

Anyway, guess I will try to get a little more blogging done, before I need to get back to my other work…

Pictures

I am a picture nut!! I love pictures, I love taking pictures, and most of all, I love displaying pictures, especially of my kids!! Of course, what Mom doesn’t?? *L*

Many of us have digital cameras, which of course are the wave of the future, but many times, I’ve thought that I preferred regular film cameras, because I could take the film, get it developed, and than put the pictures in frames, to display in my house…Well photo printers kind of helped with that, but what about ALL these other great photos you have, and simply no more room for frames??
