Weather Suprises

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

The weather here has taken a turn here…Was cooling down a bit, to where it was nice, and I didn’t have to run my a/c everyday…Now it’s turned….We are supposed to have a nighttime low tonight of something like 49!!!!! Isn’t that crazy?? *LOL* Well, I guess that’s Kansas for you!!!

The daytime temps are still supposed to be nice, low 80’s which is like perfect, or just about, but nighttime is supposed to be kind of cool for at least a few days….I don’t mind, as it’s not enough to turn on the heat or anything, which suits me….I’d like a couple of months where my light bill goes down, but my gas bill (gas heaters) don’t go up!! I’m just kind of wondering what the weather has in store for Halloween, and my Dad’s cookout the end of this month.

Business Phone Systems

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Are you looking for small business phone systems, well if you are, I’ve got a place for you to check out!

Packet 8 has a wide range of plans, features, benefits, and equipment all designed to fit into the small business world. They are a Cost Effective company, with No expensive equipment to install. Their plans can include unlimited nationwide or global calling. They are also Feature Rich, with features such as Auto-Attendant, Advanced call forwarding, Outlook integration, and integrated fax support. They are also very Versatile, because they support multiple geographic locations, and you can add lines and services as needed.

They sound like they would be Easy to Use as well. You can Self-install or you can use their professional on-site support services, which would probably be what I did, considering I am rather technology challenged. You can also manage extension settings online, which would be cool! They also have advanced ACD queuing across multiple medias - Phone, Email, CRM, Fax and more….

Wow, that sounds like they will do just about everything, except wash my dishes!!

They also seem to be affordable, because you have No expensive hardware or software to install or maintain. Which would be a plus in a small business!!

I don’t have a business, so really don’t need anything like this, but it does sound like a great thing for people to check into! So I encourage you to go check out the options at Packet 8!!

Finished

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Well I finished 2nd Kings. Took me like 3 days, which isn’t bad for 24 or 25 chapters…and they weren’t short chapters, let me tell you!! *LOL*…Now I’m on to 1 Chronicles, (is that spelt right??), although I haven’t done any Bible reading in 3 or 4 days now….*hangs head* Yes, I know, I have a consistancy problem in many areas of my life!! In any case, might do a bit tonight, and if not, have it on my agenda for tomorrow.

I can’t say that Kings was interesting really….got kind of boring hearing about all the Kings of Israel and Judah that were doing bad things, and not following the ways of the Lord…Okay, yes there were a few, but only like 3 or 4 through both books that actually did good in the eyes of the Lord…So it wasn’t all bad…*L*

I am truly hoping Chronicles is more interesting, but I don’t know for sure…I have read it several times before, but for the life of me, I can’t remember a thing about it…Which I have to say, doesn’t give me a lot of hope that it’s more interesting!! *LOL*

Cruises

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Right now, I think one of the best things in the world would be to take a cruise somewhere….I’ve never been on a ship before, so I think it would be a wonderful experience, not to mention the fact that cruises are supposed to be very relaxing…I think that would be close to Heaven right now….A week or two where I didn’t have to think about anything…didn’t have to worry about money, or going to work, or well the list could go on and on!!

Ideally I would like to go to Hawaii….Okay, I know I didn’t spell that right, or at least it doesn’t look right!! In any case, I think my family would laugh at me if they knew…but really I have always thought that would be a cool place to go…Seriously doubt I would ever want to live there, too many people, but a visit, well, that just sounds awesome to me!!!

A Couch

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Someone offered to give me a couch tonight….As I’ve said before, I don’t have hardly any furniture, so a couch would be nice. On the other hand, they said it was “old and gross looking”…Somehow that just doesn’t make me want to jump at taking it!!! I don’t want something that is really dirty, and stained up!!! Plus they did say it was a long couch, and I really can’t think of where I would put a long couch…My livingroom is not very large…I could find a place for a loveseat, or a short couch, a recliner or two, but a long couch??…I don’t know, guess I will just have to think about it a bit more!!

Batteries

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Have you noticed how many things require batteries these days?? Even when it comes to kids toys, it’s hard to find one that isn’t battery opperated!! Gee, when I was a kid, I can’t think of one single battery opperated toy, that I had….I had loads of Barbies, and toy trucks, I even got one of those Playdough Playstation things, but it didn’t take batteries either….

Some of the new toys are really cool, but I still try to lean more toward ones that don’t require batteries….For one, batteries are expensive, and really I think the kids use their imaginations more if the toys don’t take batteries….I’ve found that my girls generally play with the non battery toys for a longer time, than they do with the few that they have that take batteries…Plus the non battery toys last a lot longer too, they don’t break as easily.

Girl Scouts

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

The girls had a Girl Scout meeting today….First one of the year….They were very excited. They are in a Brownie troop together this year. I think things will run smoother this year, than they did last year. Different leaders you see.

There is something like 26 girls in the troop this year. That’s quite a few girls, but you can expect some to drop out, and there is always the possibility of adding acouple as well. Some were back from last year, but there were also quite a few new faces, which I think is good.

Need to talk to the leader though, and find out what Try-it’s they are planning on doing, so the girls and I can work on some at home too, without doubling up.

Radar Detectors

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

I remember a few years ago, the craze was radar detectors. It seemed like everyone had one…Not that it really seemed to do them a lot of good, but they had them anyway.

I really don’t see the sense in having one, but than I usually stay within the allowed speed. I suppose, if they worked good, and I was prone to having a lead foot, than it might be worth it. Speeding just doesn’t really make a lot of sense to me, especially on the interstates. Here in Kansas the speed limit is 70 mph, and most roads are 65mph, that’s fast enough as far as I’m concerned.

Here I Am

September 11th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Well here I am again…at work, and working a bit on the computer, while I have a few minutes.

I am still so very tired!! I have began to wonder if I shouldn’t look into getting some vitamins, in hopes that helps my energy level!! Even when I do sleep, I am still tired…seems their is no day that I’m not tired!!

I don’t know, will have to see I guess. Right now I wouldn’t have money for vitamins anyway!!
