Political Forum

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Now generally I’m not much into politics, just too much arguing and fighting for me, not to mention all the promises politicians make, but than never keep…But than I guess that’s why this political chat forum might be a good place for me…I can air my less than favorable views on politics, and start a debate.

This site is generally unmoderated, designed with very few rules to promote open, free debate about whatever topics members are interested in. Could be interesting!!

That’s All Folks

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

For now anyway….Is almost 7:30, so it’s really past time to get the girls up, but wanted to get a bit more work done, since I didn’t do any of this at work last night…

*sigh* I wonder if it’s my day off yet?? *LOL* Opps, guess not, since I just went back to work last night!!…Oh well, one can hope, and dream right??

Home Surveillance

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

I have been asked by HomeCamera to be fair and impartial in my review of their system.

They say that “HomeCamera is the world’s easiest-to-use Internet home surveillance camera system.” You can turn your webcam into an Internet home surveillance camera with HomeCamera’s webcam security software. Then you can remotely monitor your home, your baby, your pets, and even your store, with a PC, PDA or mobile phone from anywhere in the world. HomeCamera also includes advanced home surveillance features like motion detection, mobile phone alerts, camera sharing and time lapse recording.

A pretty incredible system from what I see!! Who wouldn’t want the ability to check up on what’s going on in their home, or business?? And you can do it all with a home camera.

Another pretty incredible thing, is the fact that this is FREE!! Why pay hundreds of dollars for the same thing, when you can get it for free?? They said “During our public beta, HomeCamera is completely free. No hidden charges - we don’t ask you for your credit card or attempt to bill you in other ways. And, when we do go “commercial”, we promise we’ll be very very affordable and all our early beta trialists will receive special prices as our way of saying “Thank you for helping build the world’s easiest to use Internet home surveillance camera system”. ”

They say that it works with ALL PC’s, Mobile Phones, webcams, and PDA’s!! That in itself is pretty incredible, considering all the different brands that are available today!

They also have Live Customer Support, should you encounter a problem.

I’m not sure if it is easier to use than other companies, but their website is easy to navigate, and easily understood. I would use this service to check up on my kids while I’m at work….Yes I trust my sitter, but in this day and age, you can never be too careful!!

I absolutely loved what the company had to say about setting the system up!! “Simply download the free Windows1 webcam security software, enter your HomeCamera user ID and password, enter a name for your webcam (such as “home” or “livingroom”), and hit Connect. You’re done!” I love simple things…I’m no tech genious, or computer wiz, so simple is good!!!

So if you want to get in on this free time, to try it out, NOW is the time to do it!!

Today

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

Today shapes up to be rather busy!! Here I am, just home from work, and on the computer doing more work…Have to get the girls up pretty soon, and see if we can get schoolwork done. Then later today the girls have Girl Scouts. After that will be dinner, and before I know it, I will be back at work again…

Sleep, although I am past being tired, will not happen today, I don’t think….Just can’t see how to fit it in, with everything else going on today…

Moved A Lot

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

Throughout my life I have moved around quite a bit…different states, different cities, and sometimes just different houses within the same area…

It’s kind of funny really….all the time that I was moving around as a child, I always thought how nice it would be to put down roots somewhere…to stay in one place forever….but somehow now, I don’t see myself doing that…I guess I have Restless Feet Syndrome….There are so many places that I want to go to, to see, and I can’t do that if I’m in one place can I?? *LOL*

I would like to travel some of the Eastern states, and possibly maybe even live back East, who knows…If I did, I would check out the Wilmington NC real estate, as I’ve heard NC, is really beautiful!!

I’m also quite partial to Tennessee!!

Last Night

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Family News | No Comments »

I had an incredibly hard time staying awake at work last night!! Don’t know why I am so tired, but I am…

I really need to get busy this week at work though, because the livingroom, hallways, and acouple of the bathrooms all need the walls washed…fun fun!!

I have a performance review coming up, probably sometime this week…I am a little apprehensive about it…I mean logically, I should have no problems, but I still worry a bit!!!

Tool Boxes

September 10th, 2007 -- Posted in Piggy Bank | No Comments »

I’ve had a pickup before…well actually it belonged to the man that I was with…but in any case…the one thing that I found missing from it was a truck toolbox.

I was taught growing up, that you always keep the essential tools with you, in case you brake down. Of course that doesn’t always help you, because sometimes you just can’t fix the problem on the side of the road or in a parking lot somewhere, but those tools do come in handy.

Right now, I don’t have tools in my car, because I haven’t come up with the money to get some…Other things seem more important at the moment.
