Desi’s Party

As many of you know, Desi’s birthday is coming up soon…Too soon in some ways!! We are doing her birthday party this coming Saturday, even though her birthday isn’t until the 23rd.

Our town is having some kind of birhtday celebration thing going on the weekend of the 23rd, so really didn’t want to do her birthday party that weekend, and the following weekend, my Dad is having a big cookout thing, so that lets that weekend out, so the only option was this coming weekend…

Am not real thrilled, because I am working Friday night this week, so will get off at like 8am on Saturday, and than will have her party 2ish that afternoon…Have no idea when I will give the house a good cleaning, before the party, or make sure everything is ready…

Thankful I don’t have to worry about the cake…Bubble is making her one, just like she did for Meg. All I have to do is get the cake mix, and Bubble will take care of the baking and decorating….Thank you Bubble!!!

Accounting

Really don’t know much about accounting, except it would not be my career choice, considering I’m pretty aweful when it comes to math!! I know enough math to get me by, like balancing my checkbook, and cooking and such, but when it comes to things like fixed asset accounting, I’m pretty well lost! Although I’ve heard it’s not so bad nowadays, because they have computer programs, where you just enter the numbers, and the computer does all the math for you…Guess I’d be okay with that, but than if I pushed a wrong number, everything would be thrown off balance, and I wouldn’t have the slightest clue that something was wrong…

The Weather

I am happy to say that the weather has been really nice lately. I have turned off my A/C most nights, and some days…Which I will be thankful for come time to pay my light bill next month!!

There have even been some early mornings where it’s actually been kind of chilly!! *LOL* I’m so glad!!! I don’t deal with the heat well, so I usually am not very active in the summer, and try to stay home with the a/c as much as possible.

Although I am hoping that it doesn’t cool off too much too fast. Would not want freezing tempatures on Halloween. Does not make for fun trick-or-treating when it’s freezing cold!!!

Memory

I would still like to get a new computer, sometime, well, I’d like to say in the near future, but it won’t be…

Anyway, I have thought quite a bit about what I would like to have when I get this new computer…. Dual Processors are a given, because I need my computer to work at the fastest, and highest quality possible. Have also thought about IBM memory, although I haven’t completely decided on that yet. Large hard drive, so I don’t have to worry about how many pictures I have on here, or how much music I have in Media player…I would also like to have a flat screen, but those are pretty standard these days.

So many options to choose from…but will make the final decision when I go to buy the computer..

Yesturday

Can’t really say we did a lot yesturday either…Like I said, it’s been a quiet weekend.

I did spend part of the day cleaning out what is termed as “the red room”, which is the second bedroom, that is used for storage, and the kids toys and clothes. It has red carpet, hence the name. When we moved in here, I never unpacked everything, just the essentials, and so the room was full of junk…I can now say that is not the case. It is not completely done, but is A LOT better than what it was!!!

Also, finally put up some of my pictures…Found acouple of the frames had gotten broke, and I still have loads of pictures that I need to buy frames for, but I figure, with any luck, I can start picking up a few frames here and there at Walmart when we go.

It still doesn’t really feel like home, like we belong here…You know what I mean?? But I guess it will have to do for now!

Is A Credit Card Necesary?

Well, seeings as how I am 28 years old, and I don’t have a credit card, I can’t really say they are necesary, but in the hands of a ultra responsible adult, they do have their uses!

I, myself, would like to have a credit card, for emergency purposes, and to help build my credit. My plan would be to charge something like when I fill up at the gas station, so that I could pay it off immediately. That way I wouldn’t have to worry about the interest rate much, and that type of thing. Why don’t I have one, if I want one?? Well, because since my credit is bad, the only cards that I have found that I qualify for, are the ones with astronomical fees!! Large annual fees, big processing fees, activation fees…Anyone familar with credit cards knows what I’m talking about!!

However, some cards do have great deals on balance transfers, and other reward programs.

It’s always a good idea to compare credit cards, when you are interested in getting one…And be sure to look at ALL the fees associated with the ones you are looking at!!

Quiet Weekend

Well the weekend is pretty much over for me…I go back to work tonight…Oh joy!..Sorry, have a massive headache again, pills aren’t working this time, so I guess I live with it, and pray for God to make the pain go away!!

Friday we didn’t do a whole lot…Went out to Bubble’s for awhile, came home, did some cleaning…I finally crashed at about 7pm, only planned to sleep for acouple of hours, and than get up again, but I was just too tired…Slept until 4am, than was up for acouple of hours…Layed back down after playing on the computer for awhile.

Cheap Loans

I really wonder if their is such a thing as Cheap loans. Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea of being able to get a loan as much as the next person…Right now would be a prime example…Finances here are beyond tight, with a whole long list of things I need to get done, or would like to buy….but is a loan really the answer??

There are probably a dozen different types of loans, Personal Loans, and Secured Loans just being two of the many different types. But still I wonder if they are the answer.

Everybody has heard of Payday Loans, and I know from personal experience, watching friends and family members getting these types of loans, that they really do more damage than what it’s worth…Yes, they pay the immediate problem, but a month later, or whatever you are in twice as much trouble!!

If I was to get a loan, it sure wouldn’t be a payday loan!!!
