NEED HELP W/ MUSIC!!!!!!!!

I would like to have a music class for my girls…I have high hopes for what to teach them, but lack the knowledge to teach them….

I would like for my girls to learn how to read music, however, I don’t know how, and so I would need to find some music ciriculum (okay, apparently I need spelling lessons too!!!! Because I’m sure that’s not right!!!)…Eventually I would like the girls to learn how to play an instrument, but I know that there are things out there to teach that to someone…

Anyway, what I would really like, is for you to tell me, what your music class does!!! Where you get the supplies for your class…. and if you know of any places to get things that teach you to read music!!!!

Car Accident

How many of us have been in a car accident??….I have been in 2…One when I was only 10 years old, drunk driver hit us….The other one was only acouple of years ago….conflict over who’s turn it was to go at a red light….I wasn’t driving in either instance…..

The first accident, we ended up getting a lawyer, and well, looking back on it, I think we could have gotten a better lawyer, but than what do I know, I was only 10 at the time….

I have to wonder which city has the largest number of car accidents every year….it seems to me, that New York would be a good possibility, considering how large it is…I guess that might be why there are so many New York car accident lawyers…*LOL* I don’t know…Just one of those funny entries I do from time to time…

Labor Day

What will I be doing for Labor Day??? Working….both tonight, and tomorrow night….other  than that, sleeping….and if we’re lucky, my headache will stay backed off, so the girls and I can play catch-up on some schoolwork from missed days last week….

*LOL* Yes, I am a Mean Mom, that would make my children do school on a Holiday, and the reason is, because they get so many other days off!!! Plus, I will have a vacation coming up in the next couple of months, and we will probably not be doing much schoolwork then, so have to be caught up enough/ahead of where we need to be, to make that work, so we can have some fun on my vacation…..

Outdoor Lighting

Living in town, it’s not such a big deal to have decent outdoor lighting, but out in the country, I think it is important…You never know what creatures are lurking the in dark, right by your door, if you can’t see them….Just ask my sister!! Okay, so they may not have been right by the door, but she’s had her share of creatures lurking around her yard…that’s why I think it’s so important to have good outdoor lighting….At least then, you can see the creatures…No, the light might not keep them away, but at least you will be able to see them, and figure out if they are a threat to you or your outside animals!!!

Milo and Otis

How many of you have seen that movie??? *raises my hand*….I was 10 or 11 when I first saw that movie, and I fell in love!!! With the movie, and with Otis…..A few months later I got a Pug puppy, he was 4 months old, and I spent big money to get him, but I loved him so!!!…Can anyone guess what I named him??? Okay, that’s kind of a no-brainer question….He was Otis, and he was my love!!!!

I won’t tell you the story of Otis just yet, as it makes me cry every time I think of my darling old man, but will go on with the story that I intended…..

The girls and I were at the store the other day, and there it is, in bright bold color, Milo and Otis, on DVD….I couldn’t resist….so when we got home, in the player it went, and the girls were in love too!!!! Made me cry to see how much they loved that movie, because I remember loving that movie too!!!!

So alas, we are on a search for another Pug puppy….only this time, I don’t have megabucks to spend on it….Can only hope that God will open the door for us….I really do love those dogs!!

Gold Mine

Really I think Blog Advertising is a Gold Mine, in acouple of different ways….The companies get mega advertising, probably for a whole lot cheaper than newspaper ads, and tv commercials, and probably actually reach a whole lot more people this way, because I know I rarely pay attention to tv commercials, but I do at least skim through the paid ads on my friend’s blogs…..

And for those of us that write the advertisements….well, it’s a gold mine for us, because this is something that we can do at home, that doesn’t take an 8 hour a day commitment, so we still have our time with our kids, and can make money on the side too!!! These paid ops, have kept me out of some serious financial difficulties in the last few months!!!

*sigh*

Just went over to my other blog/journal, and no new notes, no new entries….Feel kind of lonely!! Haven’t had many comments over here, nothing much interesting over there…..well, guess it would probably help if I went visiting myself, but even still, my visiting doesn’t have people doing new entries….

My Dad hasn’t done anything in AGES and AGES….and well, I don’t know, I guess that’s what I’m really waiting on…He’s had kind of a rough time online lately with some of his “friends”, so I think he’s just kind of pulled back from doing anything on here…but I miss him!! Yes, he only lives 20 minutes away, but still….if you all knew my father you would understand….He doesn’t say a whole lot, when you are with him…his real feelings come out in his writing…and that’s what I miss, his feelings.

mortgages

Interest rates have risen once again and many homeowners are finding it increasingly hard to pay their mortgage. Banks have been accused of lending money too easliy to people who would find it difficult to make the repayments if interest rates increase.

Are banks to partly to blame for the debt nightmare many people face? Yes, I think they are partly to blame….but I guess that’s where bad credit remortgage would come into play…

I think people need to educate themselves, before stepping into something like buying a home…I know that not only do I not have a downpayment to put on a house right now, but I also lack the credit to be able to finance at decent rates…and therefore, no matter how badly I would like a home of my own, it will have to wait, until I am better financially situated….

However nice it is to have mortgages and mortgage payment protection at our disposal, it does not make up for the common sense of knowing whether we can really afford that house or not!!!

Desi’s Bday

Well it’s coming…less than a month now….Probably will end up doing her party on the 15th, instead of the 22nd, because they are doing some big town birthday celebration thing here in town on the 22nd….and I don’t want that interfereing with Desi’s party.

Finished shopping for her birthday presents when we went to Walmart….I think she will be a happy child….Although really it doesn’t take much to make her happy…She would be fine with just cake, and people coming over to visit her, but as a Mom, I do like to give her a bit more than that….Got her 2 movies, 1 is Mary Poppins, which she has been asking me to get her forever!!! The other is the new Flicka movie….she has seen it, and pretty well flipped over it, so when I saw it at Walmart, I grabbed it!! She doesn’t know about either movie!! I also got her acouple of puzzles, big ones, because of the really cool pictures on them….She loves doing puzzles with me, and the little 100 piece just don’t offer enough of a challenge anymore… Also got her some artsy stuff, as she keeps saying she wants to be an artist….I’m trying to remember what exactly they are….One, is a poster type thing, that she does with colored pencils, but it has a chart showing which color goes where….and I believe the other one is a paint by number, except they have the paints in little marker looking deals, so no mess, supposedly!! *LOL*…She will FLIP!!!….

For Christmas, I’m on the lookout for a book or two, that will teach her to draw different things!! So if anyone knows of some simple learn-to-draw books, let me know, please!!!

Biggest Joke

Here I have been waiting until Monday, so I can pick up my pills at the pharmacy, only to remember tonight, that Monday is a holiday, and the pharmacy won’t be open!!!!!

Earlier I wouldn’t be laughing about it, but my headache isn’t so bad right now, so I can laugh at the silliness of my mistake!!!

Spent the majority of the day in bed…only getting up for a few minutes at a time, and than when my headache would get too severe I would go back to bed. It helped, it really did…Here I am at work….I still have a little headache, but at least I can function now!!

I am sure that some of my friends have been praying for me, and so I send out my thanks!!
