It’s pouring….the old man is snoring!!!…*LOL*

Okay, so it’s not exactly pouring, and the old man (my Dad) went to work, and is not snoring yet, although give him acouple of hours and he might be…It is raining….

Okay, yes, I’m a bit odd sometimes, but who isn’t??

Hasn’t rained much, but is raining some..just enough to make the humidity go sky high!!! Has been pretty overcast all day, but I don’t really mind. I have always liked the rain!! Before the girls came along, I loved to take walks in the rain!

In this generation of technology, ink has become more and more of a necessity. I myself don’t have a printer at this time, but I find myself lost at times without one!

Tonight I came in, and of course she wasn’t here…She usually leaves at 8pm, and comes in at 7am, so I never see her, which is fine by me!!! Anyway, I find this note, saying that “it had been brought to her attention” that when we had our staff meeting this past Monday, that the shorts I was wearing were too short. Well truth be told, I can’t even remember what I was wearing, but if it was the shorts that I am thinking of, I RARELY wear those to work, because they are the shorts that I workout in at the REC….Has anyone, including the Area Director, EVER complained about the way I dress??? NO!!!!!!!! In this note she said that shorts can only be a maximum of 2 inches above the knee…Which would be fine and dandy, if that was Company policy…but I thought I remembered, and looked in the Policy book tonight and there is NO length stated, only that it be appropriate.

Not only that, but there is a note for me every night, concerning something….Tonight, aside from b*tching about the clothes I wear, it was because I didn’t put the clothes in the dryer that someone had left in the washer….

Last night, it was telling me to listen for one of our people, as he has been complaining of coughing… Why am I here, if not to listen for that type stuff??

Night before that, it was complaining that I didn’t bag up the Hamburger meat that someone had left in the fridge…How the H*ll was I supposed to know that she wanted it frozen??

The morning of the 24th, she left a note saying that morning staff had come in, to fine one of our people covered in diarrhea…and that he needs to be checked at night…Considering this is a person I check on constantly throught the night, for various reasons…*shakes head* This person could have called for help, so I could clean him up!! Plus I checked him about 45 minutes before morning staff came in, and he was fine at that point…Does not diarrhea sometimes come unexpectedly?? Can diarrhea not happen within 45 minutes???

I would so love to tell my boss to take this job and shove it!!!! I am so tired of her ragging on me about everything!! Oh, and lets not forget the note a few days ago, b*tching because I didn’t lay out any meat to thaw for dinner…….Um, might help if I knew what they wanted layed out!!!!!!

Am sooooo PO’ed right now!!!!!!!

This morning, for the first time in weeks, she comes in before I leave…She asked me if I had gotten her note, and I said “yes”. She said that it was Andrea (a staff that sat in at the meeting, but who works at the office/workshop) that was complaining about my shorts. She said that personally she didn’t care about my shorts, and not to be upset with her….

But even if she wasn’t the one complaining about my clothes, there are so many other things that she has said that upsets me.

Right now an African Safari sounds like heaven!! Why you ask, because right now I would LOVE to get away ANYWHERE…Problems at work you see, which I’ll tell you more about later…

There are other reasons though! I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Africa, to see the animals mostly…It’s not the same when you see them in a zoo.

There is a company that does South Africa hunting safari‘s, which would be okay, providing they let me hunt with my camera! I have no interest in bringing home the head of a leopard, cape buffalo, lion, elephant or rhinoceros, which are some of the animals that this safari company helps you hunt. However, I would love to bring home photos of all of these animals and more!!

Wow, they have several different packages, depending on where and what you want to hunt. They even have one in Mexico (Coues Deer) and New Mexico (Prong Horn Antelope), as well as different parts of Africa, including Namibia, Tanzania, and the Kalahari.

I would tell you that there packages are reasonably priced, but I have to admit that I haven’t priced an African Safari at any time that I can remember, so you will just have to go check them out, and see for yourself!!

On the front page of their site, if you scroll towards the bottom you will see “Our Mission”, which I read, and thought was really awesome.

As some of you might have noticed, my side bar has been changing a bit here and there…I have added “favorite links” which honestly I thought I did months ago, but must have just thought about it…Also, if you scroll down far enough, you will see that I now have some buttons up!!!

I wonder, are they called buttons?? Maybe they are bubbles…Who knows!! Anyway, the coolest part is, I figured out how to do it myself!!! Usually when I want anything done with my blog, I send a frantic email to Carolyn, and she takes care of it, but this time I thought I would try to do it, and I did!!!! Don’t they look good??? *LOL*

Am even considering changing my “theme” as I have had the butterfly for awhile, but will have to think on it a bit more.

This time it’s not by choice that I’ve been awake…Yesturday I went to bed at 7am, was awake at 11am….Day before I went to bed at 7am, was awake at 9am, 11am, and 1pm….Good grief!!! Needless to say, I’m tired…Can’t explain why I haven’t been sleeping good. Is really annoying though!!!

Other than that, not a whole lot going on here…work work work…Time to pay bills too, which sucks!! *LOL* Work so hard for the money, and than the day after I get it, is gone on bills!! *LOL*

Bubble and I have been planning out our strategy for homeschooling my girls this coming year…New rules, new ideas…Hopefully this coming year will be easier going than this last 7 months…We have come up with some new ideas, that will hopefully get the point across that they have no choice but to do the schoolwork, and not spend all day gazing out the window or talking to each other!! I hope, and pray that it works!!!!

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study.

The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord’s voice.

The young man couldn’t help but wonder, “Does God still speak to people?”

After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message.

Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.

It was about ten o’clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, “God.If you still speak to

people speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.”

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.

He shook his head and said out loud, “God is that you?” He didn’t get a reply and started on toward home.

But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.

The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn’t recognize
the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.

“Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.” It didn’t seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, “Turn Down that street.”

This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.

Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street.

At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.

Half jokingly, he said out loud, “Okay, God, I will”.

He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi commercial area of town. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, “Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street.” The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.

“Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid.” Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.

Finally, he opened the door, “Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something but if they
don’t answer right away, I am out of here.”

He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man’s voice yelled out, “Who is it? What do you want?” Then the door opened before the young man could get away.

The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and
he didn’t seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. “What is it?”

The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, “Here, I brought this to you.” The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway.

Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears
streaming down his face.

The man began speaking and half crying, “We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn’t have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk.”

His wife in the kitchen yelled out, “I asked Him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?”

The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put it in the man’s hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face.

He knew that God still answers prayers.

I’ve had a friend for years, that I knew drank, and smoked weed, but until recently I didn’t know how serious her problem is…She lives far away, so I only knew from what she has said in her emails and blog entries…Recently a friend went to visit her, and came back telling me that she gets up in the mornings, gets 2 beers and goes to smoke her weed…I find this tragic!!
