Hair Brushes

Are you particular about the hair brush you use?? I am!! I have 1 brush that I like, and it works well on the girls too. Meg has really thick, curly hair, so a brush that will make it through her mass of hair is rare, but my favorite brush does…

You want to know the problem though?? I can only find that brush at 1 Walmart…I have looked in 2 or 3 other Walmarts, and they don’t carry the brush…And of course that 1 Walmart has to be like 2 and 1/2 hours away!!!! I am currently checking the website of the people that make the brush, Revlon, in hopes they have it on their website…If so, I’m going to order about 20 of them!!! *LOL* Well, what would I do if they stopped making the brush?? I’d never be able to brush mine, or Megan’s hair again…

Traffic

Living in a small town, I don’t usually have to deal with traffic, so, when I go to a big city, I am often blown away at the amount of traffic, traffic jams, detours, and other traffic mishaps that are everday occurances to a lot of people. New Schoolyear

The new schoolyear is upon us, and in all actuallity, mine started today (Sunday)…Why start on a Sunday, and why start in July you ask?? Well, we started on Sunday because Malachi was at his Father’s and we thought, since we have enacted some new rules, that it might be better to start on a day with little distractions…The reason we started the new year so soon, well that would be because we need all the headstart we can get!!!

The girls have been homeschooled since January of 2007, and they have done little but screw around…So, we are going back through the books again this year, with some different rules enacted, in hopes of putting a stop to this screwing around, and make them get down to business!!

Everybody send prayers Heavenward for me, and keep your fingers crossed too!!!

Who would have thought there would be soooooo many different types of covers?? Surely not me, but than you are talking to someone that owns and old, and currently broken down car, and driving an equally old and broken down car of my sister’s!!! I’ve never thought much about covers for my car…

Doing Well

Finished Ruth today, well okay, I started Ruth today too, but that’s beside the point…Am on chapter 9 I think it is, in 1 Samuel…

I’m doing pretty good…considering there have been several days that I haven’t read anything, and other days that I thought it would take the rest of my lifetime to make it through that book…Numbers being one of those books!!

I am having an issue though…I would like to be able to highlight or mark in my Bible, but I don’t want it to bleed through..I’m stuck!! Everything I know of bleeds through…It’s not just my Bible either!! I recently got a book from KCM that I wanted to go through and highlight, only to find that the brand new Sharpie highlighters I bought, bleed through those pages too!! Is very frustrating to me!!!

Work is Work

Well, here I am, the first of 5 long nights…Got here tonight and had to help one of our people to bed, who is in a wheelchair…He has a slide board to go from bed to wheelchair, and wheelchair to bed…It’s not an easy way to transfer, but honestly it’s not horrible…I wouldn’t want to be doing it anywhere but from his wheelchair to his bed though…

Other than that, it’s been really quiet…Laundry is started, dishes are done…Still have to clean one of the bathrooms, and I don’t know, I will find something to do…

Amazingly, no nasty notes, as I call them…Oh, except that I’m supposed to clean the office…*L* Will love it if people start complaining about me running the vacuum at night…Oh well, was told to run the vacuum.

Are You

Ready for a vacation?? Yep, I sure am!!! I was ready well, I’ve been ready for awhile, even though I just took one the first of May…I am anxiously awaiting my vacation time that should be coming up in Sept, or Oct.

I have considered maybe going somewhere on vacation…like maybe to one of the places that Rocky Point rentals has available…They have an awesome website….Easy-to-use, out of this world pictures, and a wide selection of rentals to fit the size of every vacationing family…

Only

A few minutes left, until I have to go to work….Oh yeah!!! NOT!!!!…I got a phone call tonight, at 20 minutes to 8pm, it was staff at work, asking what time I come in tonight…I said 10pm, like normal…they told me that Laurie had told them that I was coming in at 8pm…She never once talked to me about it, and as it was, I couldn’t have gone in at 8pm anyway…I had to come home and feed and water my animals, and change clothes…

Oh well, they never called me after that, so apparently they got it covered somehow.

Office Supplies

Have you been looking for Avery labels, or any of your other office supply needs??

I know that I, just as a homeschooling mother, have endless office supply needs, and I’ve found this great place to get pretty much anything that I need…

They have paper, labels, binders, electronics, computers and software, filing stuff, shipping materials, office furniture, and even a general office supply category…Now if that doesn’t cover just about everything, I don’t know what does!! Oh, and lets not forget toner, cartridges, and even ribbons for your typewriter or printer…I didn’t even know they MADE ribbons anymore!! *LOL*
