Update

Well the first thing I can think of to say is “where did everyone go??”…The last 5 comments or so have all been from Julie…Which I do thank her for stopping by, and commenting…I SOOOOO do love comments!!!!! But where did all my other friends go???

Took Megan to Kansas City today, for the Dr. to look at her legs. Because of her being pigeon toed….Anyway, she has acouple of minor problems, but nothing that requires surgery, which these days, from what the ortho dr said, it’s surgery or nothing….So in one way, we got up at 5:30am and made the EXTREMELY long drive for nothing, but in another way, at least we know there is nothing serious going on!!!!

Desi has a Dr.’s appt. tomorrow, because of her accidents…Megan I have never been overly concerned about, because she is quite a bit younger, and a bit of a late bloomer in MANY ways….But Desi isn’t getting any better with the medicine that the Dr. put her on a week ago…I was supposed to take her back in 2 weeks, but just can’t wait that long…Desi is extremely upset, and embarressed, because I have been having her wear pullups again…She has a self-esteem problem anyway, so I really don’t need this adding to that.

Stopped at a farm and ranch store today, because my sister wanted to get some ducks….and well I started looking at rabbit cages, because the girls have said before that they would like a rabbit…and well then we saw that this store had rabbits. So we looked, and debated forever…and it ends up that the cage that I want goes on sale tomorrow, for $17 less than regular price….Which is a big difference in my life!! Anyway, I am still debating with myself back and forth about whether to do it or not….In one way, I don’t think that they are making enough of an effort towards behaving, to get one….and I don’t want to continually be spoiling them by getting them what they want….BUT on the other hand, I would make that rabbit THEIR complete responsibility, in hopes that they learned some responsibility, and also maybe give them the idea that taking care of something or someone isn’t always the easiest or most fun thing to do….I don’t know!!!! Suggestions anyone????

Hmmm… MY dc were not ready to be totally responsible for a critter that young. Oldest was 11 when he got his hamster. We got a dog when he was younger, hoping he’d grow into taking care of it. But the DOG grew to be 115 lbs (a lot bigger than we expected for a Lab!) and so only Mom & Dad could do much with him for years!

BTW – I read your blog all the time from my Bloglines page – just don’t usually have time to comment! :o )

We got Jared a cat when he was 6, and it has always been his responsabilty (sp?) to take care of her. He feeds her, makes she she has water, bathes her, and changes the litter box (as well as scooping it out on the days he doesn’t change it.) As a result, Jared is the only one that Cuddles actually loves… It seems like she only tolerates the rest of us. *lol*
