Hmmm... I don't know if I have any advice for you. Personally, I would either give him away, or confine him to a room/kennel when you were gone... But that's just me... We have a cat who has had a few accidents. Also, she is not allowed on the furniture. When we are gone, she will get on the furniture, where she wouldn't even think about it when there are witnesses.... So, she is kenneled at night, and when we're gone. We used to put her in the laundry room, but she would cry all night (and keep us awake) so we put her in a kennel, and put the kennel in the boys room. She is happier that way, being with her beloved Jared. (Weird cat! Preferring a small kennel over a roomy laundry room with her litter box and food!)
